The 14-year-old do-it-all dancer, who’s known for her out-of-this-world colorful style, gave TigerBeat the inside scoop on what to expect from her upcoming KCA looks. Without giving away too much, JoJo revealed that she’ll have a different outfit for the orange carpet, for her on-stage performance, and for the rest of the show following it. Each ensemble is sure to be bursting with energy head-to-toe!

“You won’t see any sequins whatsoever. Or color! I’m wearing olive green and plum and burgundy. But no sequins! I’m wearing low tops too, yep. And my hair’s going to be down,” she joked.
Does that mean no bows? We’ll have to find out!
Later on, JoJo also dished about her performance, where she named the songs she’ll be singing on stage.
“I’m performing my three: ‘Hold the Drama,’ ‘Kid in a Candy Store,’ and ‘Boomerang.’ It’s a mashup. It’s really cool!”
In case you missed it, JoJo is the only girl nominated in her category and she couldn’t be more excited about it!
The 14-year-old Nickelodeon star was recently nominated for her second-ever solo Kids’ Choice Award, and even though she took home the orange blimp last year (beating out close friend Jacob Sartorius), this year’s nomination is special to JoJo for an important reason: she’s the only girl up for the “Favorite Musical YouTube Creator” trophy!
“I don’t want to say boys have it easier because everyone works really hard…Jacob is probably the hardest worker I know…But boys have all these little girls that think they’re beautiful and love their music.”
In a recent interview for International Women's Day, the Dance Moms alum — who will also be performing at this year’s KCAs — opened up to us about the different challenges girls face in the entertainment industry, and how she’s embraced those challenges and turned them into positives:
“With girls, there’s not so much of that. And so you have to be a positive girl role model that they’ll look up to. You don’t get to have the crush factor that the boys get to have…I’ve been really lucky. I found people that love me and love me for who I really am. And I love them for who they are too!”

But when it comes to the KCAs, there’s one thing that the 14-year-old Nickelodeon star is even more excited for: to meet the cast of The Greatest Showman…duh! When TigerBeat asked JoJo who she’d get seriously starstruck over, she revealed that running into Zac Efron and Zendaya on the orange carpet would be her ultimate dream come true.
Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that the triple threat talented stars of the recent blockbuster hit musical — who are nominated in the “Favorite Movie” category — make an appearance just for JoJo!
“Every day. I listen to the soundtrack every day, twice a day. And I know all the choreography and all the dances and I even know their lines. I’m literally obsessed. If I meet Zendaya and Zac Efron I’ll cry. I’ll bawl my eyes out!”
