NEW YORK (September 3, 2017) -- Cowabunga dude! Nickelodeon and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are again taking over the Chicagoland Speedway NASCAR race weekend. Nickelodeon is the entitlement sponsor of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, Sept. 17, dubbed the Tales of the Turtles 400. The track will feature a weekend of action, activities and fun for the entire family with the iconic Heroes in a Half Shell.
Greg Cipes, the actor who voices Michelangelo in Nickelodeon's television hit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will participate in the weekend festivities, greet fans and serve as a pre-race dignitary.
The 1.5-mile track will serve as the site of an epic weekend showcase for the new Tales of the Turtles TV season, which is titled Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because it consists of seven separate serialized stories. The featured drivers include:

During the Tales of the Turtles 400 race weekend, enjoy fun family activities in the Nickelodeon Kids Zone, located in Champion's Park. The area will feature appearances from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costumed characters, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles photo station and more.
The creative Tales of the Turtle 400 trophy will be on display throughout the weekend at the track. The winning designers were chosen through the Good Day for Play art competition held this past summer. The attendees and celebrity judges ended in a tie, selecting Chicago street artists Tubsz and Max Sansing to co-design the trophy. Artist E. LEE will have his work featured on a trackside billboard.
Special fan merchandise is available for the Tales of the Turtles 400 event and features fun, bright colors and the race logo. A range of T-shirts and hats will be available for fans of all ages, including youth, toddler and adult sizes, as well as lanyards, magnets, can coolers and even a bib for the youngest "Dudes" and Turtle fans. The fan apparel and novelty items showcasing "Turtle Power" are available at the Fan Zone merchandise area and on the NASCAR.com Superstore.
This Sept. 14-17 marks the second partnership for Chicagoland Speedway and Nickelodeon, who last year partnered to bring fans the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 race which featured art created by renowned artist Hebru Brantley. Nickelodeon USA has announced the exciting news in a trailer that Nick USA will start to premiere more brand-new episodes of the networks newest animated series Welcome to the Wayne from Monday 18th September 2017 (TX time TBA)!
Created and written by Emmy® Award-winning writer and composer Billy Lopez (The Wonder Pets) and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning creative executive Michael Pecoriello (Yu-Gi-Oh!), the 20-episode series follows three kids as they explore their strange and fantastical apartment building, the Wayne, where nothing is what it seems.
Welcome to the Wayne follows the comedic adventures of three friends, Ansi Molina, Olly Timbers, and Saraline Timbers, as they aim to unlock the secrets of the Wayne, a mysterious apartment building in New York City. Each new investigation brings them face-to-face with new characters, creatures, and oddities, known as “Wayne Phenomena,” leading them closer to uncovering the truth about the weird things happening in their building.

Nickelodeon USA has announced the exciting news in a trailer that Nicktoons USA will start to air Massive Monster Mayhem, a brand-new original show for kids 6–11 that combines live action and CGI animation with real competition and comedy, in October 2017!
Co-created by Artur Spigel and Michael Chaves and produced by DHX Media, Massive Monster Mayhem is a brand-new concept in kids’ entertainment. A sci-fi competition series, Massive Monster Mayhem features live gameplay by kids in futuristic challenges against gigantic Monster Superstars for the chance to win prizes and save the planet from destruction.
Each episode features three real-life kid heroes competing in a gauntlet of Intergalactic Battle Alliance challenges to become Earth’s champion and face off against Master Mayhem’s league of monsters in the ultimate “Monster Mashdown.” The unique series combines cutting-edge, real-time CGI and pre-visualization technology.

A mythic quest to save the world unfolds in Nickelodeon’s newest animated series, Mysticons, premiering Saturday 16th September 2017 at 7:30am on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland. Produced by Corus Entertainment’s premier animation company Nelvana, the half-hour action series rich in story and mythology follows four girls who transform into legendary warriors, Mysticons, who band together to save their realm from evil. Following the shows debut, new episodes will air regularly every Saturday and Sunday at 7:30am.
Created and executive produced by Sean Jara (Johnny Test), Mysticons is a contemporary urban fantasy series about four girls from different walks of life who are transformed into the legendary Mysticons. Arkayna, Zarya, Emerald, and Piper are drawn together by a prophecy to battle evil and protect the realm as unexpected heroes who work together to become epic warriors and ultimately, the closest of friends. The heroes team up as the stakes are raised when the evil Queen Necrafa is released from her prison and embarks on a mission to destroy them and their home, Drake City.

Nickelodeon UK Launches Nick's All-New On-Air Brand Refresh
Nickelodeon UK & Ireland today, Monday 4th September 2017, launched Nickelodeon's large-scale brand refresh, featuring a design that fully reflects the role of play and imagination in kids lives, and a array of kids interacting with the real world and Nick’s beloved characters in surprising and surreal mixes of live-action and graphics, to coincide with back-to-school season!
Nickelodeon's new image demonstrates the role of imagination, creativity and play in the lives of children, combining real kids with 2D and 3D graphics to create imaginative reinterpretations of Nickelodeon’s properties and characters as they became real-world playgrounds for kids to bring to life, rearrange and redesign. From turning SpongeBob’s face into a tongue-twisted fun zone, to kids rearranging and rebuilding Lincoln Loud from The Loud House, everything from the overhead and docu-style camera angles to the seamless blend of real-world, tactile and fantastical elements, is designed to drive a visual conversation between the network and its audience. The result is an unusual and often surreal mixture of photo and graphics that kids are sure to love.
Nickelodeon's new look consists of almost 300 elements, including bumpers, IDs, fillers, visual effects, graphic developments, and an extensive graphic package for creating promotional videos. Many of the elements are being adapted for local audiences.
Created with global branding and creative agency Superestudio, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Nickelodeon's latest brand refresh reflects the fact that the channel has become a integral part in the life's of modern children, opening up new opportunities for them to play, create and communicate. Nickelodeon’s classic orange logo will now be set against an updated color palette of bright and cheerful tones, including purple, light blue, lime and cream. Embracing the bold, modern sans-serif type, Galano Grotesque Black, the refresh also uses color to create, contrast and codify the on-air messaging.

The Nickelodeon Store In London Closes
It's being reported on Twitter that The Nickelodeon Store in London's West End has closed down.
UPDATE (5/9/2017): Nickelodeon UK has confirmed to NickALive! that The Nickelodeon Store at 1 Leicester Square in London has unfortunately been shut permanently. Nickelodeon fans can still purchase goodies inspired by their favourite shows at the Nickelodeon Store at Nickelodeon Land in Blackpool Pleasure Beach, as well as at many retailers throughout the UK and Ireland, such as Argos, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Hot Topic, Toys"R"Us, Amazon, Smyths Toys Superstores, The Entertainer, Tesco and more. Located at 1 Leicester Square, London, The Nickelodeon Store opened in May 2015 as Nickelodeon's first European flagship Nickelodeon Store, as part a partnership between Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) and Entertainment Retail Enterprises. On Monday 4th September 2017, Twitter user Olly Browning (@yourolly) posted photos which show that The Nickelodeon Store is currently closed, with the The Nickelodeon Store logo removed and the entrance doors covered up with orange paper. In addition to the stores bricks and mortar premises, the stores official web shop, nickelodeonstore.co.uk, has been placed in maintenance mode. It is currently unknown whether The Nickelodeon Store in London has been closed down temporary for a refit, or has been closed permanently. Hopefully it's the former than the latter!
