Josh Peck and Victoria Justice Have a Nickelodeon Reunion
Josh Peck and Victoria Justice may have starred on different Nickelodeon TV shows, but that doesn't mean they don't have a lot in common. Aside from having similar acting backgrounds, they still socialize in similar circles, which is precisely what led to their mini-reunion just a few nights ago.
Just Jared Jr. reports that the two ran into each other during the grand opening of The Highlight Room at the Dream Hotel in Hollywood on Tuesday night (July 11), along with musician Michael Clifford and his girlfriend Crystal Leigh. Of course, they realized it was prime time for an epic selfie, and posed together for a pic! Victoria posted the photo to her Twitter account late that evening, and Josh followed suit.
"This guyyyyyyyyy," Victoria wrote, adding "Great seeing you @ItsJoshPeck." Josh retweeted the post and added: "Got me right in the childhood," he wrote. "Great seeing u!"

Viacom Announces Multi-Year Content Partnership with Tyler Perry
Exclusive Agreement Encompasses TV, Film and Short-Form Video
New York: Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA) today announced it has entered into a comprehensive, multi-year content partnership with the award-winning writer, director, producer, actor and playwright Tyler Perry, encompassing television, film and short-form video.
Under the terms of the agreement, Perry will produce approximately 90 episodes annually of original drama and comedy series for BET and other Viacom networks, and Viacom will have exclusive licensing rights on this programming. In addition, Viacom will have exclusive distribution rights to Perry’s short-form video content, and Paramount Pictures will have exclusive “first look” rights on any new feature film concepts created by Perry.
The film agreement is effective immediately, with the partnership on Perry’s TV and short-form video content to go into effect in May 2019, following the expiration of Perry’s exclusive agreement with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Viacom’s agreement will extend through 2024.

By prioritizing efforts to work with the best, most versatile talent in the entertainment industry, we are better positioned to deliver must-watch content across our brands and platforms. Tyler is a prolific creative force, and I’m excited that this collaboration will bring his signature humor and powerful storytelling to Viacom’s audiences while further cementing BET’s position as the leading home for bold, relevant African-American programming and scripted content.”
Debra L. Lee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BET Networks, said, “I am delighted that we are deepening our longstanding relationship with Tyler. BET co-funded Tyler’s very first feature film, we’ve aired his movies and many of his series with great success on our networks, and we’ve honored his tremendous talent with our signature awards. This partnership will allow us to work even more closely with him and bring more of his iconic content to our viewers.”

Perry is the creative mind behind seven television series and 16 feature films in addition to 20 plays and a best-selling book. His first television series, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne set then-ratings records for a basic cable sitcom when it debuted and was followed up by the highly successful Meet the Browns. Since then he has continued to launch a series of popular programs, including the sitcom Love Thy Neighbor and the drama The Haves and The Have Nots. His films include many box office hits, including his long-lasting Madea franchise.

Tyler Perry Inks Mega Film & Television Deal With Viacom
In one of the biggest talent deals under the new Viacom leadership, the company has signed a long-term pact with prolific writer, director, producer and actor Tyler Perry, which encompasses television, film and short- form video.
Under the agreement, Perry, who is currently under an exclusive deal at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, will produce approximately 90 episodes annually of original drama and comedy series for BET, which caters primarily to African-American audiences, and other Viacom networks. Viacom will have exclusive licensing rights on the TV programming as well as exclusive distribution rights to Perry’s short-form video content. Additionally, the pact gives Paramount Pictures exclusive first-look rights on Perry’s feature film projects.
The TV pact is similar to Perry’s arrangement at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network where he has been since 2012, helping to put the then-fledgling cable network on the original scripted series map with such series as The Haves And Have Nots, Love Thy Neighbor and For Better Or Worse. The film agreement is effective immediately, while the TV/short-form video one will kick in May 2019 when the OWN pact ends and will feature new series. Both parts of Perry’s Viacom deal will go through 2024.

Perry’s programming already has presence on BET, which airs two of the sitcoms he had done for TBS, House Of Payne and Meet the Browns, in off-network syndication. Additionally, BET Pictures co-produced with Lionsgate Perry’s debut feature, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, based on his play, which launched his screen career and a very successful Madea feature franchise.

After a nine-year stint at Lionsgate, where he had a fist-look deal, Perry became a free agent on the feature side in 2014, taking his time in selecting his next distribution partner.

Under the OWN agreement, which included Perry getting a small stake in the Discovery Communications/Oprah Winfrey venture, the cable network has ordered more than 500 episodes over 5 different Perry shows, which have been airing since May 2013. That includes The Haves and the Have Nots (151 episodes), If Loving You is Wrong (100 episodes, For Better or Worse (117 new episodes), Love Thy Neighbor (118 episodes), and the upcoming new comedy The Paynes (38 episodes), which is set to debut in 2018.
In addition to ushering in scripted series on OWN, Perry’s shows also were a main driving force behind the network’s ratings ascent after early struggles. Fresh episodes of Perry series will continue to air on OWN at least through 2020. In a statement about his pending departure, the network notes its first scripted series successes not produced by Perry, Queen Sugar and Greenleaf, which OWN is planning to build upon as its main scripted series supplier moves to Viacom.
“OWN has an exclusive overall television production deal with Tyler Perry that runs through May of 2019 with series airing on the network through 2020,” the network said. “At the end of the exclusive relationship, OWN and Tyler Perry have the option to work together on a non-exclusive basis. OWN has had great success in the scripted space with Tyler Perry and with its new original dramas Queen Sugar and Greenleaf. The network will continue to aggressively expand its roster of premium original scripted series.”
Perry, who started his career as a playwright, is the creative force behind seven television series and 16 feature films in addition to 20 plays and a best-selling book.
Perry, known for writing, directing and producing his series on a very accelerated schedule, made his foray into television with the TBS/Debmar-Mercury sitcom Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, which was followed by Meet the Browns and For Better Or Worse before he segued to OWN, partnering with then-his close friend Winfrey.
He joined OWN when the network was going through a revamp, which also is the case at BET and the other Viacom networks, all of which have gone through a restructuring over the past few months as part of Bakish’s turnaround plans. Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures had been beefing up its roster of high-level talent. The studio just signed Akiva Goldsman to a first-look deal.

The YouTube sensation will fly in from America to give her first-ever UK performances at all six slime-filled shows between October 21 and 23 at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Arena. The shows are being staged by Nickelodeon in partnership with VisitBlackpool.
The 14-year-old singer, dancer, performer and social media influencer, will be performing her hit single Boomerang live as well as two new songs.

LOS ANGELES–July 13, 2017– Stephen Curry, Serena Williams, Russell Westbrook, Odell Beckham Jr., Simone Biles, Kevin Durant, Laurie Hernandez, Keala Kennelly, Claressa Shields, Usain Bolt and this year’s host Russell Wilson took home a coveted orange mohawked blimp at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, the only show where kids celebrate their favorite athletes and the year’s most unforgettable sports moments. Helmed for a third straight year by Seattle Seahawks franchise quarterback and Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson, Kids’ Choice Sports 2017 was taped live Thursday, July 13, from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, and will premiere Sunday, July 16, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) as a simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons.
American competitive swimmer Michael Phelps was honored with the Legend Award at this year’s show in recognition of his world record-breaking achievements, unrivaled talent and outstanding sportsmanship in and out of the pool. Upon receiving his golden mohawked award, Phelps was doused from head to toe in glistening gold slime.

Throughout the show, three kids competed in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2017 “Triple Shot Challenge” for an opportunity to each win $50,000. Klay Thompson, Abby Wambach and Dak Prescott served as coaches while fans cheered on Nate Simon, of Riverside, Calif., Evelyn Briggs of Woodinville, Wash., and Austin Fernandes, of Kent, Wash., as they each attempted to make their shot across basketball, soccer and football challenges.
The slimed-filled celebration also featured five grand-scale, sports-themed challenges:
- DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond scaled Slime Mountain, battled obstacles and slid their way to victory and the Kids’ Choice Sports gold medal;
- In the Nick Cannon-hosted Beats ‘N Seats challenge, Lindsey Vonn, P.K. Subban, Prince Fielder, Breanna Stewart and Gabby Douglas competed in the ultimate game of musical chairs;
- In the Pedal Pop challenge, Von Miller, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Shaun White went head-to-head to see who can pedal the fastest and inflate a large slime-filled balloon until it pops;
- Simone Biles, Emmanuel Sanders, Landon Collins, Aly Raisman, Cree Cicchino, Ella Anderson, Madisyn Shipman and Riele Downs participated in the KCS Relay, an obstacle-ridden race throughout the entire venue led by team captains Russell Wilson and Michael Strahan;
- And Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, Kel Mitchell and Tony Cavalero faced off in the High Hoops challenge, a five-shot three-point contest that featured human basketball nets on wires.
In a special moment during Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, Nickelodeon presented two-time Olympic Gold medalist Simone Manuel with the first-ever #SeeHer Award, honoring her inspirational achievements which have broken down multiple barriers for women and girls. The #SeeHer movement aims to eliminate all gender bias by recognizing the importance of accurately portraying girls and women in television and advertising.
Nickelodeon will have a robust digital offering for Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, supplying content before, during and after the big show on Nick.com/kids-choice-sports/ , the Nick App on iOS and Android devices, as well as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. LOS ANGELES–July 13, 2017– Stephen Curry, Serena Williams, Russell Westbrook, Odell Beckham Jr., Simone Biles, Kevin Durant, Laurie Hernandez, Keala Kennelly, Claressa Shields, Usain Bolt and this year’s host Russell Wilson took home a coveted orange mohawked blimp at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, the only show where kids celebrate their favorite athletes and the year’s most unforgettable sports moments. Helmed for a third straight year by Seattle Seahawks franchise quarterback and Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson, Kids’ Choice Sports 2017 was taped live Thursday, July 13, from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, and will premiere Sunday, July 16, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) as a simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons.
American competitive swimmer Michael Phelps was honored with the Legend Award at this year’s show in recognition of his world record-breaking achievements, unrivaled talent and outstanding sportsmanship in and out of the pool. Upon receiving his golden mohawked award, Phelps was doused from head to toe in glistening gold slime.

Throughout the show, three kids competed in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2017 “Triple Shot Challenge” for an opportunity to each win $50,000. Klay Thompson, Abby Wambach and Dak Prescott served as coaches while fans cheered on Nate Simon, of Riverside, Calif., Evelyn Briggs of Woodinville, Wash., and Austin Fernandes, of Kent, Wash., as they each attempted to make their shot across basketball, soccer and football challenges.
The slimed-filled celebration also featured five grand-scale, sports-themed challenges:
- DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond scaled Slime Mountain, battled obstacles and slid their way to victory and the Kids’ Choice Sports gold medal;
- In the Nick Cannon-hosted Beats ‘N Seats challenge, Lindsey Vonn, P.K. Subban, Prince Fielder, Breanna Stewart and Gabby Douglas competed in the ultimate game of musical chairs;
- In the Pedal Pop challenge, Von Miller, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Shaun White went head-to-head to see who can pedal the fastest and inflate a large slime-filled balloon until it pops;
- Simone Biles, Emmanuel Sanders, Landon Collins, Aly Raisman, Cree Cicchino, Ella Anderson, Madisyn Shipman and Riele Downs participated in the KCS Relay, an obstacle-ridden race throughout the entire venue led by team captains Russell Wilson and Michael Strahan;
- And Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, Kel Mitchell and Tony Cavalero faced off in the High Hoops challenge, a five-shot three-point contest that featured human basketball nets on wires.
In a special moment during Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, Nickelodeon presented two-time Olympic Gold medalist Simone Manuel with the first-ever #SeeHer Award, honoring her inspirational achievements which have broken down multiple barriers for women and girls. The #SeeHer movement aims to eliminate all gender bias by recognizing the importance of accurately portraying girls and women in television and advertising.
Nickelodeon will have a robust digital offering for Kids’ Choice Sports 2017, supplying content before, during and after the big show on Nick.com/kids-choice-sports/ , the Nick App on iOS and Android devices, as well as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Kids and families from around the country showed their support for their favorite athletes, teams and sports moments by voting in 12 categories from May 31-July 10.

On Sunday, July 16, kids will be able to play along throughout the broadcast by casting their votes to impact the show, taking polls to root for their favorite athletes, creating memes and engaging with photos and videos from the event. Nick.com/kids-choice-sports/ will provide the exclusive access to all the stars and athletes all night long.
Kids’ Choice Sports 2017 will encore Sunday, July 16, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) and Monday, July 17, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon; Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on TeenNick; and Friday, July 21, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nicktoons. The telecast will also be available via Nickelodeon on Demand beginning Monday, July 17.

The trick-shot brotherhood that is Dude Perfect are bringing their action-packed challenges to Nickelodeon in an all-new season of the comedy-sports series, The Dude Perfect Show, premiering on Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT)! Comprised of five best friends—Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert, twins Coby and Cory Cotton, and their beloved panda mascot—Dude Perfect take fans inside their 25,000 square-foot extreme-sports paradise as they dream up the next viral video.

Kids' Choice Sports 2017 Awards Host Russell Wilson Promises "Slimy, Wild, Impactful" Show | Nickelodeon
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback will host Nickelodeon's fourth annual Kids' Choice Sports awards, which tapes Thursday at UCLA.
The Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Sports awards will honor athletes from numerous sports and put them head-to-head in a series of new relays, games, challenges and obstacles never before seen on any previous Kids Choice show.
"It's going to be slimy, wild and it’s going to be impactful," Russell Wilson, quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, who is returning as host for a third time, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Wilson also said that this year's event will feature a new relay and a new game referred to as "High Hoops."
He added: "There may be another football player here that comes out with me at some point, there may be a few of them, but this one in particular, he may come out and do a cool little challenge."
He declined to say more, but teased: "There will be lots of surprises, but it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you too much."
Wilson, who has already been slimed three times, revealed he is most excited to slime Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. The swimmer is set to receive the Legend Award — following in the footsteps of previous recipients Kobe Bryant, David Beckham and Derek Jeter — and will be showered in a special gold slime. The award honors "athletes who are the ultimate role models to kids across the globe, inspiring generations year after year."
“I have slimed Kobe Bryant before and now this year, another legend, which is Michael Phelps,” said Wilson.
As this will be Wilson’s third time hosting the Kids' Choice Sports Awards, the Super Bowl champ recalled his transition from recipient to host.
"The first time I was ever here was after my rookie year, and I won best newcomer," Wilson recalled. "I remember Michael Strahan was the host at that time, and I specifically said to my right-hand person, 'I hope I could host it next year.' Next thing you know, two months later, they ended up calling and asking if I wanted to host for the first time."
Wilson hopes to return again for the 2018 Kids' Choice Sports: “I want to do it for a long time and do it for many years to come."
Indeed, Wilson is passionate about working with youth. He founded and hosts the Russell Wilson Passing Academy, a football camp for kids age 8-17 in various parts of the world (next week it's in China, followed by Anchorage, Alaska), and launched the Why Not You Foundation in 2014 that encourages and inspires youth to overcome obstacles and embrace opportunities to become leaders.
"My parents always encouraged rather than discouraged, and I hope that I can be the same way to my own kids and also the kids I get to affect," Wilson said. "I think God has given me an amazing opportunity to do that, so that is really exciting."
On Wednesday, Wilson also launched a new website, traceme.com, which is a destination for fans to follow him this week and next as an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at his life and work, including hosting KCS 2017!
The 2017 Kids' Choice Sports Awards will be taped Thursday at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles and will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon. Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky and tennis star Serena Williams lead the nominations with three apiece.
