Steve Buscemi, best known on the small screen for his work as Boardwalk Empire boss Nucky Thompson, and Joe Pantoliano, who famously got his hands dirty on The Sopranos — among countless other series — will guest-star on the upcoming brand-new SpongeBob SquarePants episode, airing Saturday 10th June 2017 at 10:00am ET/PT on Nickelodeon USA!
The episode, appropriately titled “The Getaway,” sends SpongeBob on a wild ride with an escaped convict (Pantoliano's “Sticky Fins”) whom he mistakes for his driving instructor. In other news, Nickelodeon on Monday announced that the SpongeBob SquarePants musical will begin Broadway previews on Nov. 6, officially opening on Dec. 4. Tickets will go on sale (via Ticketmaster.com) on June 26! I'M READY!

SpongeBob gets mixed up with the wrong crowd in brand-new episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, featuring guests Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) and Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix) premiering Saturday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. In “The Getaway,” SpongeBob encounters a sticky situation when he accidentally mistakes an escaped convict for his driving instructor, but it’s really the new teacher who learns a lesson in the end.
Pantoliano stars as Sticky Fins, an expert thief locked up for his crimes in Bikini Bottom Prison, while Buscemi lends his voice as Dorsal Dan, the finest getaway driver in town.
Viewers can visit the SpongeBob SquarePants page on Nick.com, the Nick App and the Facebook page, along with the SpongeBob Facebook page and SpongeBob Instagram, to get an exclusive look at the series. Canada's Breakthrough Entertainment (Ride, Max & Shred) has begun production on Star Falls, a brand-new 20-episode series that will be broadcast in Canada on YTV and on Nickelodeon in the United States! Filming for the all-new live-action show is currently taking place along Walton Street beside the Ganaraska River in Northumberland, Canada.
Filming will shift to Victoria Hall in Cobourg on Monday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Over the weekend, according to a press release, vehicles from Star Falls Production Inc. began moving on to Second Street. They will begin moving onto Third Street Monday, and Second Street will be closed to traffic.
The production company is arranging to park its larger production vehicles in a private lot. Smaller production vehicles and staging area for film-related equipment will be on the west side of Second Street and both sides of Third Street between King and Albert streets.
No gunfire or pyrotechnic effects will be associated with scenes that will be shot, the company said.
