Will A "Drake & Josh" Reunion Be Happening? Drake Bell Sets The Record Straight
Are we ever going to get that Drake & Josh reunion we all want so badly? HollywoodLife.com recently talked to Drake Bell about just that, and he didn’t exactly say no! He revealed that the cast has remained ‘very, very close’ since the show ended!
“I mean, what I can say is we all have remained very, very tight and very, very close,” Drake Bell, 30, told HollywoodLife.com. “The whole Drake & Josh family! And any way that we can get back together we all love it. I will just say use the hashtag #WheresWalter and help Drake and Josh find their pops! And we’ll see, we’ll see!”
Drake had everyone talking after releasing a mysterious video on YouTube on Dec. 29. In the video, Drake reprised his role as Drake Parker to reveal that his father, Walter Parker (Jonathan Goldstein), is missing. He asked fans to help find the beloved Drake & Josh dad. Subsequent videos also featured Drake's co-stars on the show: Audrey Parker-Nichols (Nancy Sullivan), Craig (Alec Medlock) and Eric (Scott Halberstadt), Helen (Yvette Nicole Brown), and Lenny Spodnick, AKA the Foam Finger Guy (Fred Stoller). Fans thought these was just tidbits of a major reunion.
Drake and his co-star Josh Peck, 30, reunited on Josh’s TV series Grandfathered back in 2016. Both Drake and Josh have been open about a TV reunion of the hit Nickelodeon comedy series.
“I would be down! I think people are always sort of begging for some sixth season of Drake & Josh and whatnot,” Josh told MTV at the 2015 ATX TV Festival. “To just pick it back up without ever acknowledging that there was a 10-year gap might be a little odd — because we definitely put on some years, but if they figured out a really cool fun way to bring back the entire cast and do, I don’t know a three episode mini-series or something, that would be dope. I’ll go work at the movie theater again.”
Let’s make it happen, people! Let’s find Walter and get the family back together for a reunion in 2017!

In the second episode of Variety’s Hollywood HQ series, Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob SquarePants, takes us on a tour of Nickelodeon Studio's brand-new state-of-the-art offices in Burbank, California!
The five-story building on Olive Avenue is adjacent to Nick’s original Burbank facilities, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, and brings all activities into a single interconnected complex designed to inspire creativity.
The building houses both the animation and live-action production teams — around 700 people. It was designed by the DLR Group and Studios Architecture.

Viacom Acquires Minority Stake in Israeli TV Company Ananey
Viacom's Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) unit announced on Thursday that it has acquired a minority stake in Ananey Communications Group, an Israeli pay TV channel provider and content producer.
Financial terms and the size of the stake weren't disclosed. An analyst estimated the price tag at below $10 million. Under the terms of the deal, Viacom has an option to acquire a controlling stake in Ananey in the future.
VIMN Senior Vice President, General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe and Israel, Bartosz Witak has joined the board of Ananey.
VIMN and Ananey are long-standing business partners in Israel, where Ananey licenses or represents Viacom’s global brands, including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., MTV and Comedy Central, and represents Viacom’s programming sales and consumer products business. It also operates seven channels in its own right.
Under the partnership, Nickelodeon has become Israel's No. 1 children's channel (ahead of Arutz HaYeladim, the local Hebrew-language kids content portal) and, alongside Nick Jr., reaches 49 percent of the youth audience "due in large part to Ananey’s original local productions for kids and teens," the partners said.
Ananey also develops television formats and programs for both Israel and international TV markets, including Street Food Around The World, a food and travel show, The Hood (locally titled שכונה), a daily teen drama and The Green Project, a sketch show. One of Ananey's flagship productions is its daily teen drama The Greenhouse (locally titled החממה), which has delivered record ratings for Nickelodeon in Israel (and is a NickALive! favourite!). The shows first season also aired on Nickelodeon UK and Ireland with English dubbing in 2014, and Netflix has struck a deal to create an English-language remake, set to be released later this year.

Ananey also produces digital and interactive content and applications, including the SpongeBob Master mobile app that is available in Israel and Hungary and is expected to launch in the U.K. later this year.
The move is bound to bring further diversity to the pay-TV market in Israel, which has seen rapid growth in recent years. Since the early 2000s, the pay-TV market here has been divided evenly between HOT cable and YES satellite, with nearly all local viewers choosing one or the other as a subscription service to access international content. But with Netflix now available in Israel, plus the introduction of Cellcom TV, a VOD and streaming service managed by one of Israel’s major telecommunications networks, competition is on the rise.

Nickelodeon’s brand-new animated preschool series, Nella the Princess Knight, follows Nella, an unconventional 8-year-old who possesses the royal qualities of a princess, like compassion and grace, while also embodying the courage and determination of a brave knight. Whenever a problem arises, Nella embarks on daring quests to save her kingdom through her unique ability to transform from a princess into Nella the Princess Knight. Premiering on Monday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT), Nella the Princess Knight (40 half-hour episodes) features a social-emotional curriculum promoting self-confidence, inclusiveness and compassion for others. Nella is a confident 8-year-old princess who likes dancing at extravagant balls just as much as she likes meeting fire-breathing dragons. Burbank, Calif.—Jan. 11, 2017— In a ribbon cutting ceremony held today, Nickelodeon officially opened the doors to its newly expanded building in Burbank –an over 200,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art, sustainable complex now home to more than 700 Nickelodeon employees and over 20 show productions, including the biggest hits in kids’ TV like The Loud House; SpongeBob SquarePants; Shimmer and Shine; and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Nickelodeon’s facility now includes a new five-story, building; an expansive, redesigned courtyard; and the newly renovated, original 72,000 square-foot studio that first opened in Burbank in 1998.

* Each floor features a central trellised “working gallery” that runs the length of the building, providing open space for collaboration and to display work in progress, as well as creating a visual connection between the courtyard and the views of the mountains to the east.
* Employees can brainstorm on full-height chalkboard, dry erase and magnetic walls, and personalize their workspaces with adjustable desks and cubbies.
* An on-site rotating art gallery will showcase both internal and external artists’ work.
* There is also an archive and library of the brand’s early days, paying tribute to the diversity of its long list of contributing artists and featuring pencil test renderings, creators’ notes and painted cells going back to the brand’s classic ‘90s series.

Through a partnership with STUDIOS Architecture, ARC Engineering and Brightworks Sustainability, Nickelodeon’s West Coast facility targeted LEED gold certification by integrating sustainable strategies and resources into the design and operations of the building. To help optimize energy-efficient performance, lighting power is reduced by over 50% through efficient LED fixtures, lighting controls and use of daylighting. Priority was also placed on use of healthy and environmental building materials, such as low-emitting flooring and paint, and use of products with high recycled and regional content.
Additional features of Nick’s newly expanded complex include:
* Screening Room – Employees can gather in a new 88-seat screening room where old world Hollywood meets contemporary design;
* Three Voiceover Studios – A new recording studio complements the two existing studios.
* Café – Hoek and Stimpson, Nick’s new café located in the lobby of the new building, overlooks the courtyard and offers a place for employees to gather;
* Indoor/Outdoor Connection – Each floor has courtyard-facing breakout areas and balconies;
* Health and Wellness – The project includes both a fitness room and a calming Zen garden;
* Music Room, Game Room, Arcade – Employees can play instruments including drums, guitars and piano, or gather for classic games of pinball or air hockey;

* McCormick Construction – Responsible for building the facility’s core and shell, in addition to the studio’s 450-stall, 129,000 square-foot parking structure;
* Environmental Contracting Corporation – Responsible for the completion of the interiors of the new building, the exterior courtyard and the addition of a new glass pavilion adjacent to several new public spaces;
* STUDIOS Architecture – The international design firm was the design architect for the new building, the exterior courtyard, and all of the interior spaces for the complex;

Burbank, Calif.—Jan. 11, 2017— In a ribbon cutting ceremony held today, Nickelodeon officially opened the doors to its newly expanded building in Burbank –an over 200,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art, sustainable complex now home to more than 700 Nickelodeon employees and over 20 show productions, including the biggest hits in kids’ TV like The Loud House; SpongeBob SquarePants; Shimmer and Shine; and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Nickelodeon’s facility now includes a new five-story, building; an expansive, redesigned courtyard; and the newly renovated, original 72,000 square-foot studio that first opened in Burbank in 1998.
“The opening of our new offices in Burbank is a significant moment for Nickelodeon,” said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon Group. “We are ushering in a new era of creative excellence and increased collaboration for everyone who works here.”

Ride follows Katherine "Kit" Bridges, a North American girl who moves to England when her widowed father, Rudy, accepts a job at the illustrious Covington Academy: an elite equestrian focused boarding school. Commissioned by Nickelodeon and YTV and produced by Canada's Breakthrough Entertainment and the UK's Buccaneer Media, the 20x30-minute show, formally titled Let It Ride, is created by Jill Girling (Life with Derek) and Lori Mather-Welch (Would Be Kings, Queer As Folk). Executive producers for Breakthrough are Joan Lambur, Ira Levy, Peter Williamson, Michael McGuigan, Nat Abraham and Shelley Scarrow. Tony Wood (House of Anubis) is executive producing for Buccaneer. The series was cast by KM Casting. The series was filmed in Toronto and on location in Northern Ireland.
