To celebrate Nickelodeon USA premiering Blurt, the networks brand-new original TV movie that tells the story of of a kid who, after a comical VR mishap, starts speaking every thought he has out loud, in 2018, Nick.com has launched the networks official Blurt movie website, nick.com/blurt-movie, which includes a super sneak-peek preview of the all-new Nick Flick!
When nice-guy Jeremy Martin (Jace Norman, Henry Danger) puts on mysterious virtual reality glasses at the mall, he suddenly loses his “inside voice” and starts spouting every thought he has out loud. Making matters worse, Jeremy is running for student council president against his classmate Milly (Daniella Perkins, Knight Squad), who is full of great ideas to improve the school. Desperate to get back to normal, Jeremy and his sister Victoria (JoJo Siwa) must figure out how to convince his brain that he can speak up for himself.
Below is Nickelodeon's official description for Blurt:
"When an accident causes Jeremy to say everything he thinks out loud, he’s in for a world of trouble! Now in the middle of running for class president, he’s about to learn the hard way that some thinks are better left unsaid. If he wants to win, he will have to learn to control his blurts – and keep the embarrassment to a minimum - while still giving a voice to the voiceless."
Nick USA's brand-new official Blurt movie website currently features information about Nickelodeon all-new film, plus a fantastic first-look at the movie! In Nick's sneak-peek, titled "Class Participation", Mrs. McCann thinks Jeremy needs to improve on his class participation... and it looks like he took her advice very literally!
The virtual reality sequences featured in the movie are being developed and created by Nickelodeon’s Entertainment Lab, the network’s new division spearheading long-range research and development efforts around new technologies for Nick and its audience. Blurt, formally titled Inside Voice, is the third project for air to feed through the Entertainment Lab, joining Lincoln Loud “Live” and Nick’s TV movie Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library.
Scenes for Blurt were filmed in Surrey, in British Columbia, Canada during the summer.
