Expanded placement at mass and support from new channels continues to propel the licensing program for Entertainment One's (eOne) global preschool hit to new heights across the US and Canada. Now with more than 70 licensees and counting, the animated program is one of the top-ranked series on Nick Jr. in the US and popular among kids and families in Canada, where it airs on Treehouse TV.
Earlier this year, the show made its debut on Nick Jr. India and ramped up retail efforts in the region. In March, eOne strengthened its operations in Latin America with a number of new licensing agreements and appointing Bruna Sawada as regional territory manager for Brazil.
The bolstered agreements are part of eOne's plans to double Peppa Pig sales by 2020. Globally, the brand generates more than US$1 billion each year, and has more than 800 licensees.
