Celebs Reign At Nick Jr. UK's "Nella The Princess Knight" Launch Party

London, 14th May, 2017— Celebrities including Kerry Katona, Imogen Thomas, Michelle Heaton, Dani Harmer, JB Gill, Adele Silva, Ampika Pickston, Prof. Andrew Levitas, Anthony Costa, Bobby Zamora, Celia Walden, Charlotte and Chris Coleman, Claire Koscielny, Hannah Waddingham, James Bye, Jasmine Harman, Katya Virshilas, Kelle Bryan, Konnie Huq, Kellie Shirley, Laura Hamilton, Lord Frederick Windsor, Louise Flood, Lucy Benjamin, Naomi Isted, Nicola Stapelton, Peter Stringfellow, Samantha Simmonds, Stacey Duguid, Vanessa Feltz; and their families attended the UK premiere screening of the newest Nick Jr. series, Nella the Princess Knight. Nella the Princess Knight will premiere on Monday 15th May at 5:30pm on Nick Jr. with new episodes airing weekdays at 5:30pm.

Before the screening, guests at the VIP event were treated to a themed buffet breakfast including unicorn pancakes, enchanted mini toffee apples, fruit swords and dragon eggs. Attendees were also invited to take part in various craft activities such as designing their own shields and crowns and could have a dance at the royal disco featuring music from the new series. The 200 invitees then sat down to watch two 11-minute episodes of the programme including the premiere episode ‘Nella’s Orc-hestra.’ The event took place at No. 11 Cavendish Square.

“Nella is great, we all loved it,” said Michelle Heaton. “The kids all had an amazing morning and I know that Nella will become a family favourite in our house.”

“She’s a Princess who never gives up. I think she’s brilliant. The kids liked her too!” Said JB Gill.

Nella the Princess Knight follows the adventures of an 8 year old heroine Nella, who is far from your average Princess… she can also transform into a Princess Knight to save her kingdom. With the compassion and grace required of a royal mixed with the courage and determination that comes with Knighthood, Nella embodies the perfect Princess Knight.

She enjoys dancing at extravagant balls just as much as meeting fire-breathing dragons and her ability to transform into a Princess Knight transcends the traditional roles and expectations of a Princess. Alongside her friends: Trinket, Nella’s glamorous unicorn and best friend; Sir Garrett, a loyal and adventurous knight; and Clod, Garrett’s trusty steed, Nella embarks on heroic quests to protect the kingdom and help her friends.

Robert Vargas (Zack and Quack) serves as an executive producer on Nella the Princess Knight and the series is created by Christine Ricci (Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora the Explorer). It is the newest show to join

Held at London's 11 Cavendish Square, attendees, including the celebrities and their families, were treated to a magical party fit for little Princesses and Princes. Activities included arts and crafts and face painting.

Premiering Monday 15th May 2017 at 5:30pm on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland/HD, Nella the Princess Knight follows Nella, an unconventional 8-year-old who possesses the royal qualities of a princess, like compassion and grace, while also embodying the courage and determination of a brave knight. Whenever a problem arises, Nella embarks on daring quests to save her kingdom through her unique ability to transform from a princess into Nella the Princess Knight. Premiering on Monday 15th May 2017 on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland/HD, Nella the Princess Knight (40 half-hour episodes) features a social-emotional curriculum promoting self-confidence, inclusiveness and compassion for others.


Nella is a confident 8-year-old princess who likes dancing at extravagant balls just as much as she likes meeting fire-breathing dragons. She transcends traditional roles and expectations through her ability to transform into Nella the Princess Knight, protecting her kingdom with the help of her friends: Trinket, Nella's glamorous unicorn and best friend; Sir Garrett, a loyal and adventurous knight; and Clod, Garrett's trusty steed.

In the series premiere, "Princess Nella's Orc-hestra"/"The Blaine Game" (#101), a wild orc disrupts Nella's concert. Later, Blaine thinks he can do everything better than Nella, and sets out to prove it by finding the famous pink polka-dotted dragon egg.

Nella the Princess Knight is created by Christine Ricci (curriculum advisor, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora the Explorer), with Robert Vargas (head writer, Zack and Quack) serving as an executive producer on the series. It is the newest show to join Nick's top-ranked preschool roster, airing alongside hit series like PAW Patrol, Rusty Rivets, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Shimmer and Shine.
