WILMINGTON, DE – MARCH 15, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers today announced that the team will host Nickelodeon Night featuring Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on Friday, March 17, when the Sevens play the Salt Lake City Stars at 7 p.m. EST. Marking the first theme night partnership between Nickelodeon and a team in the NBA Development League, the evening will benefit March of Dimes and generate awareness for premature births in Delaware.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at SEVENS.COM, by calling 302-504-7587 or by visiting the Bob Carpenter Center box office. Admission starts at just $14 and portions of all sales will be donated to the March of Dimes.

The Pink Power Ranger costume character is scheduled to be in attendance to meet and greet fans. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Nickelodeon Night commemorative poster featuring the Power Rangers and will enjoy thematic in-arena music and trivia throughout the evening.

In addition to the Nickelodeon Night featuring Power Rangers elements, the game will also feature unique activation courtesy of Corrigan Sports Enterprises and the Delaware Running Festival (CSE). CSE, which organizes and hosts running festivals and events across the nation annually, will feature an “Awareness Run” in the Sevens Courtside KidZone. Here, a trained athlete will run on a treadmill throughout the game. Should the athlete complete a half-marathon prior to the conclusion of the basketball game, all fans in attendance will receive a voucher for a free Jimmy John’s sub. CSE will also make a financial contribution to the March of Dimes for each mile the athlete runs.

The Awareness Run will also serve to promote the Delaware Running Festival. Corrigan Sports acquired the event this year and looks forward to making the race a staple for runners in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Fans can also catch two new episodes of Saban’s Power Rangers Ninja Steel airing back-to-back this Saturday, March 18, at 12 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
