Nickelodeon Northern Europe has announced the super news that Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) will start to fully premiere and show Pokémon Sun and Moon, the latest season in the long-running Pokémon Japanese children's anime television franchise, every Saturday at 10:30 Uhr from Saturday 6th May 2017!
The news follows Nickelodeon Deutschland, Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz) and Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich) airing the first two episodes as a sneak-peek preview of the all-new Pokémon series, locally titled Pokémon Sonne & Mond, in November 2016. The full Pokémon Sun and Moon series will only air on Nickelodeon Deutschland.
In the brand-new Pokémon Sun and Moon anime series, what starts as a summer vacation in the tropical Alola region turns into the next exciting chapter in Ash Ketchum’s quest to become a Pokémon Master! There’s plenty for Ash and Pikachu to explore in this sunny new region, with exciting new Pokémon to discover and interesting people to learn from along the way—including the cool Professor Kukui and the fun-loving Samson Oak. More new faces will help guide Ash’s Alolan adventure, in the form of a group of skilled Trainers — Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles — and a mysterious research assistant called Lillie. Frequent foes Team Rocket have also made the trip to Alola, looking to swipe some high-powered new Pokémon. But they have some heavy competition on the villainy front: the ruffians of Team Skull, who delight in causing chaos and may have more sinister intentions...
Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon is the 20th season of the iconic Pokémon Japanese children's anime television franchise, and is based the popular Pokémon Sun and Moon Nintendo 3DS video games. The season debuted in November in Japan and currently rolling out around the world. Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon will also feature a fresh new animation style.
Leading up to the debut of Pokémon Sun and Moon, Nickelodeon Deutschland will continue to air brand-new episodes of the current season of Pokémon, Pokémon XYZ, with the season finale airing on Saturday 29th April 2017.
