Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand has announced the slime-tastic news that Nickelodeon Slime Cup, Nickelodeon's hit locally produced adventure game show for kids, is back for a second season!
SLIME CUP 2017 will be the biggest, slimiest competition on earth and the awesomest TV show ever, and Nickelodeon are inviting kids from all over Australia and New Zealand to team up with their besties to become Slime Superstars and take on slime-filmed obstacle courses and off-the-scale insane challenges for a chance win the most prestigious title any kid could wish for: THE SLIME CUP. (Think how of the bragging rights the winners will score!)
SLIME CUP 2017 is open to teams of kids aged 9 to 13 years of age on July 1, 2017, who are residents of Australia or New Zealand. To enter, kids can submit their audition videos online. Kids who live on the Gold Coast or in Sydney, will also have the chance to audition in person, right in front of Nick’s official SLIME CUP cameras at one of our LIVE TRY-OUTS in April.
UPDATE: Nickelodeon will be holding live tryouts for SLIME CUP 2017 at:
Sea World Gold Coast on Sunday 9th April 2017
Westfield Mount Druitt on Sunday 23rd April 2017
Nickelodeon are looking for 15 pairs of kids who are fast, funny and massive NICKELODEON fans, who also need to be really good at answering questions about themselves on camera, so being a good talker helps. And remember, Nick wants to see awesome TEAM OUTFITS that really stand out on camera. Every team needs one so Nick can see that kids mean business and are ready to take on SLIME CUP. Kids should think about what colours represent your team. No outfit is too weird or epic, but teammates should remember that they'll be wearing it on the super-slippery Slime Cup courses, so won't want a costume that slows them down! One rule: DON’T USE IMAGES on your clothes of CHARACTERS or LOGOS that AREN’T ON NICKELODEON. (eg, Superman, Batman etc.) However if you’re a big fan of a Nick show, go for it! Hint: Nick loves fans of SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Kids should also give their teams a name that tells the world how awesome they are and how much they love Nickelodeon. It should be short, snappy and easy to remember. Kids should avoid using words like crazy, funny, kooky, wacky or zany in their team names, and NOT use the word SLIME!
At Nickelodeon's SLIME CUP live try-outs, teams will be interviewed on camera and face a fast and foul collection of tasks designed to show Nick if they are buff, brainy and barf-worthy to head to the SLIME CUP 2017 finals! When the SLIME CUP 2017 live try-outs have finished, the SLIME CUP judges will watch all the footage from the auditions and choose the qualifying teams to compete in the finals!
The SLIME CUP 2017 finals will be shot at the secret SLIME CUP arena in Sydney. Filming will take place over one week in May 2017, and Nickelodeon's cameras will be filming every step of the way and turning all the slime-soaked action into Nick's biggest series of all time!
The Nickelodeon SLIME CUP 2017 TV series will screen exclusively on Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand at the end of June 2017. Plus there will be heaps of aweslime SLIME CUP stuff that you can check out at slimecup.com.au and on the Nick Play app (which you can download for free from both the App and Google store.)
Full information about how to enter Nickelodeon's SLIME CUP 2017 can be found on slimecup.com.au. Good luck! :)
