The comedy star and wife Asia Lee donned matching Good Burger hats for a '90s Nickelodeon-themed maternity shoot, posted to Kel’s Instagram account on Valentine’s Day. In the photo, by Josephine Clarke, Asia’s blossoming baby bump is visible underneath a cropped white top, as Kel wraps his arm around her (while clutching a Good Burger.)
And in a fun nod for fans, Asia is also holding a bottle of orange soda! And we all know that Kel loves his orange soda (He does, he does, he doessss-sa).
Kel wrote: “We have a bun in the over! Thank you Asia Lee for being the best wife to me, the best friend to me, and now the best mom to our blessed baby! I love you so much.”

Asia shared the same photo to her own Instagram with the message: #"SURPRISE Yup We have a bun in the oven! Thank you @iamkelmitchell for loving me unconditionally from the very beginning!! I am blessed enough to get to call you my best friend & my husband everyday & now I get to call you my baby daddy! Lolol I love you so much!”
This little baby will be Mitchell's third child, but his first one with rapper and designer Lee, whom he married in January 2012. His kids, son Lyric, 17, and 15-year-old daughter Allure, were from his previous marriage to Tyisha Hampton.
Kel, 38, shot to fame alongside comedy partner Kenan Thompson in the Nickelodeon hit comedy series Kenan & Kel, which ran from 1996 until 2000. They also starred in the comedy movie Good Burger, and made appearances in fellow kids’ shows including Sister, Sister and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.
Last year, Kel and Kenan reunited for an Entertainment Weekly interview to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kenan & Kel.
During the chat, Kel spoke about his character's love of orange soda and how it became an iconic part of '90s TV history.
“I don’t think any of us knew how big that was going to be, even today I still get that,” he said.
“When my wife and I go out to eat, it doesn’t matter what type of restaurant we’re at, whether it’s a five-star restaurant or a burger shack, people go crazy if I don’t get an orange soda. And they’re like, ‘Oh, what are you going to drink? Orange soda?’ And they just crack up, but I enjoy it. I’m happy that people enjoy the show and are still drinking orange soda.”
"I do still love orange soda," he told ThePostGame Podcast last week. "I'm actually working on my own orange soda cause I've given orange soda a lot of money ... I'm working with a brand and I want it to be a healthy soda, a non-calorie soda because I work out a lot."
Kenan and Kel also reunited on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2015 to reprise two of their most beloved All That characters, Ed the Good Burger Guy and Lester Oaks, construction worker. Most recently, Kel reprised his Ed the Good Burger Guy character at the Super Bowl LI Opening Night at Houston's Minute Maid Park on Monday 30th January 2017.
Mitchell presently stars as Double G on Dan Schneider's hit Nickelodeon sitcom Game Shakers. The series co-stars Cree Cicchino and Madisyn Shipman, and was renewed for a third season in November.
