In their latest addition to their "Saturday Morning A Capella" playlist, YouTube channel Triforcefilms has unveiled an a capella version of the LazyTown opening theme tune, which you can watch in the fantastic music video below!
In the video clip, Mr. Dooves records himself singing and humming different parts while the theme song's familiar opening titles play in the centre of the screen. It's another of those videos you can watch multiple times, yet continue to notice new things!:
LazyTown is an Icelandic educational musical comedy series that encourages kids to eat healthily and exercise. The programme features a cast and crew from Iceland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was created by Magnús Scheving, a gymnastics champion and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LazyTown Entertainment, who also has a lead role as "Sportacus" in the show. The show aired on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels around the world, among other stations globally.
Stefan Karl, AKA "Robbie Rotten" from the hit children's show, was recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and fans of actor have raised over $80,000 using the power of memes to help him in his fight against disease. Get well soon, Stefan!
Here's the original LazyTown theme song, composed by Máni Svavarsson and Magnús Scheving, in all its glory! Sing-along with the lyrics below:
"Welcome to LazyTown" lyrics:
Welcome to LazyTown,
A place where you'll want to stay.
You'll meet Robbie with his rotten plan,
And Sportacus saving the day.
Stephanie is new in town,
And soon she and Ziggy are friends.
With Pixel, Stingy and Trixie too,
They're gonna have a blast together.
Go! Go! Go! Get up LazyTown!
It's the start of a brand new day.
Things are upside down here in LazyTown,
Adventures just a moment away
