Kel Mitchell Reprises 'Ed The Good Burger Guy' Role At Super Bowl LI Opening Night

To celebrate Nickelodeon at Super Bowl LI, Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell reprised his iconic All That role 'Ed the Good Burger guy' at the Super Bowl LI Opening Night at Houston's Minute Maid Park on Monday 30th January 2017!

During the Super Bowl LI Opening Night, Ed provided on-scene reporting for Nickelodeon, and took the fast food orders for many NFL players. At one point, the burger aficionado acknowledged New England Patriots' Tom Brady as the GOAT but took the term a too literally, joking that he never knew the QB had fur underneath his jersey.

“Everyone calls you the G.O.A.T.,” he said. “You don’t look like a farm animal though. What do you think about that?”

Brady asked him instead what HE thought about that.

“I think it’s crazy. You have fur under there?”

“No, not much.” Brady was laughing at that point.

Mitchell congratulated Brady and promised to save him a burger, to which Brady, ever the health nut, replied that he should give the burger instead to Julian Edelman.

“OK, dude.”

Ed then delivered some fuel in the form of a Cheese Good Burger to Atlanta Falcons' QB Matt Ryan.

He also asked multiple players sign his burger, giving them a fake plastic cheeseburger wrapped in paper. Many players, including Julio Jones, obliged.

Kel also did an extended interview with Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett about why the black unicorn is his spirit animal.

"Shout out to the black unicorn," Mitchell bellowed.

Bennett replied by leaning into his microphone and neighing like a horse, which drew a huge laugh from Mitchell.

Welcome to Houston, home of the Super Bowl. Can I take your order?

A good deal of players recognized Mitchell's character immediately upon spotting him, moving in to take selfies and jumping to recite some of his memorable lines, including Ed's famous "We're All Dudes" song. Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins were among them, dancing along while singing "I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, 'cuz we're all dudes, hey!" with little prompting from Mitchell or the Nickelodeon Sports crew that accompanied him.

This is not the first time Mitchell has brought back one of his most beloved characters. In 2015, he reunited with his former co-star Kenan Thompson on The Tonight Show.
