Jeremy Rowley, better known by millennials as Louis "Lewbert" Sline — the foul man subjected to pranks by Carly, Sam, and Freddie — is playing another beast on TV.
Rowley is voicing the title role in the new Nicktoon series Bunsen Is a Beast, which stems from the mind of Butch Hartman, the creator of such gems as The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom and T.U.F.F. Puppy.
Both Hartman and Danielle Morrow, Rowley's fellow iCarly star and IRL wife, shared the casting news on Instagram Thursday (January 26).
Nickelodeon's brand-new original animated series follows Bunsen, the first beast to enroll in an all-human school. As Bunsen adjusts to life, his new friend and classmate, Mikey Munroe, voiced by another star from the Dan Schneider universe: Ben Giroux, better known as 'The Toddler' on Henry Danger), shows him the ins and outs of hanging in the human world. Hartman shared a sneak peek recently, which you can check out below. You can totally hear Lewbert's high-pitched voice radiating from Bunsen!
The Bunsen is a Beast voice cast also includes: Cristina Milizia (Monster High) as Darcy, Bunsen and Mikey’s homeschooled friend; Kari Wahlgren (The Fairly OddParents) as Amanda Killman, the rigid and rule bound beast hater; comedy legend Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live) as Miss Flap, Mikey and Bunsen’s eccentric teacher; Jeff Bennett (Jake and the Neverland Pirates) as Bunsen’s Dad, The General Lance Justice; and Jennifer Hale (The Powerpuff Girls) as Bunsen’s Mom. Additionally, Wahlgren and Rowley also voice Mikey’s Mom (Sophie Sanders) and Dad.
In addition to Bunsen is a Beast, Jeremy Rowley also recently guest-starred in Nickelodeon's Game Shakers.
Bunsen is a Beast premieres Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 5:30p.m. (ET/PT) on Nick USA. The series will air at 5:30 p.m. (ET/PT) through Friday, Feb. 24, and continue with premieres in its regular timeslot of Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT).
