Nickelodeon Brazil Unveils Plans For 2017 And 2018
Nickelodeon Brazil recently unveiled their upcoming highlights for 2017 and 2018 during their "Nickelodeon Licensing Event 2016" event which Nick held at the Hotel Grand Hyatt in São Paulo during Expo Licensing 2016 in August 2016!
At "Nickelodeon Licensing Event 2016", Nickelodeon declared that 2017 will be the year of PAW Patrol! Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated series, locally titled Patrulha Canina, is already a global success among preschoolers, with the property achieving excellent sales in Brazil. PAW Patrol's Brazilian success is set to continue during the remaining months of 2016 and into 2017, with the launch of a brand-new season of the hit show, and the launch of more product lines with new unique themes.
During the latter months of 2016, Nickelodeon launched a Dia das Crianças (Children's Day) PAW Patrol retail campaign, and will launch a brand-new PAW Patrol clothing collection in partnership with Riachuelo. The major partners for the new PAW Patrol toy line are Sunny, property distributor Spin Master, and Ri Happy. Still to come in 2016 will be PAW Patrol 'Stay Safe' campaign, which fans can learn important safety tips and learn how to be a good citizen with the help of the PAW Patrol heroes.
The big news presented at Nickelodeon Licensing Event for 2017/2018 were Nickelodeon's licensing programs for the networks hit preschool properties Shimmer and Shine and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Shimmer and Shine, aimed towards preschool age girls, features a world full of magic and glitter and follows twin genies-in-training who inadvertently get into lots of trouble whilst trying to fulfil the wishes of their human friend, Leah. Blaze and the Monster Machines, directed towards boys aged 2-5 years old, follows the adventures of Blaze, an incredible monster truck, and his 8-year-old driver, AJ. Blaze and the Monster Machines is the first preschool series to comprehensively cover all areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) in every episode. Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) Brasil will launch extensive toy lines for both property's at retail in Brazil in 2017.

Nickelodeon Brazil To Premiere New Kids Cookery Contest "Food Hunters" On Sunday 13th November 2016
The Brazilian entertainment news blog Anime, Mangá e TV is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon International News that Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) will start to premiere and show Food Hunters, Nickelodeon Latin America's (Latinoamérica) brand-new cooking competition for kids aged between 8 and 13 years old, every Sunday at 19h30 from Sunday 13th November 2016!
In Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's all-new dynamic culinary contest series, four teams of two contestants will each compete in a series of fun challenges outside to collect the necessary ingredients for a meal. The first three teams to complete the challenge outdoors will use their collected ingredients, imagination and culinary skills against their rivals in the kitchen. Each team will compete against the clock and under the command of the Venezuelan chef Lorena García, a famed TV personality, published author and the owner of several restaurants, who will also evaluate each dish and decide who will be the winner of each episode.
Nickelodeon Latinoamérica filmed the new series at Viacom International Media Networks' (VIMN) new state of the art Viacom International Studios in Miami in May 2016. Each episode will feature contestants from throughout the Latinoamérica region.
Food Hunters comprises of 12 x 60 minute episodes and is produced in collaboration with Chef Lorena García and Cinemat Inc. for Nickelodeon Latinoamérica.

Pig Goat Banana Cricket follows four friends nature never intended - a pickle-obsessed Pig, a Goat with musical dreams, a Banana who loves video games and a Cricket with a crazy science lab - in Boopelite City, a gigantic, fantastical metropolis unlike anything you've seen before; where fruit can walk, animals can talk, the sidewalks are crammed with animals, robots and sea creatures, and you can find all your pickle needs at the downtown Picklemart! Pinky Malinky is a brand-new fly-on-the-wall reality show that follows the everyday life of Pinky, an infectiously positive hot dog living in a human world. With his best friends Babs and JJ by his side, Pinky reaches for the stars in the small town of Sackenhack. Through his good spirits and sausage sensibilities, Pinky proves that a "wiener" is only one small letter away from being a "WINNER!"
Using the tropes of a mockumentary and reality show format, Pinky and his friends will talk directly to the camera and the audience to share their absurd and silly take on real life. At times, all children feel like they don't fit in and Pinky's undeniably unique point of view as a literal wiener amongst humans will allow kids to laugh at his familiar struggles and enjoy his unusual perspective on the challenges of being a school-aged kid. By always reaching for the stars, Pinky pushes himself further than anyone could imagine. Pinky and his friends' humorous experiences will also be shared across social media and Nickelodeon's digital platforms.

Nickelodeon Italy has announced the exciting news in a trailer, below, that Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) will start to premiere and show School of Rock, Nickelodeon's brand-new live-action musical comedy series inspired by the hit movie of the same name, from Monday 21st November 2016!:

The gifted students of William B. Travis Prep School are in for the lesson of a lifetime in Nickelodeon's all-new show, School of Rock!
When their teacher, Mrs. Calpakis (Vernee Watson) suffers an unfortunate skateboarding spill, Mr. Finn, a down-on-his-luck musician, steps in. Little do the group of overachieving rule-abiding students know - their new substitute actually rocks!
With their musical talents combined, this class of classically-trained musicians forms a band complete with headbanging beats and face-melting solos. But if they want to live the rock star life, they'll have to band together, take risks and rock out to reach new heights all whilst keeping the whole thing a secret.
Throughout the school year, these middle-school classmates find themselves navigating relationships, discovering their unknown talents and learning lessons on loyalty and friendships. With Mr. Finn's help, they'll discover that working together isn't just cool, it rocks!

Episodes will include musical performances by the cast covering hits "What I Like About You" (The Romantics), "Lips Are Movin" (Meghan Trainor), "The Kids Are All Right" (The Who), "We're Not Gonna Take It" (Twisted Sister), "Shut Up and Dance" (WALK THE MOON), "Heart Attack" (Demi Lovato) and more.

- Superstar race car driver Kasey Kahne will guest star in the brand-new Blaze and the Monster Machines episode "The Hundred Mile Race", premiering Friday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. ET on Nickelodeon USA! In the episode, Kahne will voice "Fender", a car that rules the raceway, but is excited to share the track with Blaze. Kahne will join Hendrick Motorsports teammates Jimmie Johnson (Dash) and Chase Elliott (Mark Set-Go) in the episode.
- Nickelodeon USA will premiere the brand-new Blaze and the Monster Machines episode "The Polar Derby", the finale of a epic six-episode race car-themed story arc, which will guest star Chase Elliott, on Friday 9th December 2016! Elliott voices the race car character "Mark Set-Go", a sensational race starter who kicks off each racing adventure with rock-star style and a signature rhyme.
- Characters from the hit Nick Jr. show PAW Patrol will be visiting Toys "R" Us in Stevenage on Saturday 5th November 2016, as part of the Pups' Autumn tour of the UK! Children will get a chance to meet Marshall and Skye from the popular animated show at the Toys "R" Us store in the Roaring Meg Retail Park,London Road, Stevenage from 11:30am to 3pm, Saturday, November 5. As well as meeting the pups, the children will get stickers and activity sheets to take away. Speaking about the upcoming visit, Toys "R" Us store manager David Edwards said: "PAW Patrol is a huge hit with pre-schoolers and we're expecting there to be a fantastic turnout to welcome the pups' visit to our store!" The event has been organised by Spin Master who not only make the toys but also created the PAW Patrol concept in partnership with Nickelodeon. - Actress Daniella Monet, who is best known for her role as Trina Vega on Nickelodeon's Victorious and the host of Nickelodeon's hit gameshow Paradise Run, will visit Laredo Independent School District this week. Monet, a 27-year-old actress, singer, dancer, lifestyle blogger and longtime vegetarian, will address students Wednesday at the LISD Performing Arts Center ballroom as part of a kickoff for the district’s healthier eating campaign, Lean & Green Day.
- HUG ME, BROTHA! Actor, comedian and Vine superstar Josh Peck will speak in Cornell's Call Auditorium on Wednesday 16th November 2016 as a featured guest of the Cornell Hillel Major Speaker Series! Peck is best known for his roles on the hit Nickelodeon shows The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh, and the popular Nickelodeon Movie Snow Day. He has since appeared in television shows and films including The Mindy Project and the Ice Age franchise, in which he is the voice behind Eddie the Possum. Peck currently co-stars with John Stamos in Fox's hit sitcom, Grandfathered and voices Casey Jones in Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series. The event is funded by a gift from the Himan Brown Charitable Trust. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m.
- Mall of America is stepping up its digital game with robots and VR, including a virtual reality experience that featuring the El Circulo Del Cielo Ferris wheel in Nickelodeon Universe!
- Open Road Films has picked up US rights to Spark, an brand-new animated sci-fi feature by Canadian filmmaker Aaron Woodley that headlines the voice-over talent of Jace Norman (Nickelodeon's Henry Danger, Rufus, Rufus 2), Hilary Swank, Susan Sarandon, Patrick Stewart, and Jessica Biel. The pic will hit theaters on Friday 14th April 2016.
- Henry Danger star Ben Giroux and Power Rangers Dino Super Charge star Davi Santos have joined the cast of A Cinderella Christmas at The Pasadena Playhouse! Ben will play one half of The Ugly Stepsisters, whilst Davi will play Dandini in the Lythgoe Family Panto (LFP), and will join previously announced stars Morgan Fairchild (The Wicked Stepmother), Kenton Duty (The Prince), Lauren Taylor (Cinderella), Alex Newell (The Fairy Godperson), Matthew Patrick Davis (Buttons), and Josh Adamson as the other half of The Ugly Stepsisters. Valerie Rockey and Paul Karmiryan, two of the top three contestants on So You Think You Can Dance will join the ensemble of the production. A Cinderella Christmas opens December 8, 2016 and plays through January 8, 2017 at The Pasadena Playhouse.
