MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The SKECHERS Foundation today announced that its 8th annual 2016 SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk exceeded $1.6 million for children with special needs and education. Supported by lead presenter Nickelodeon and new media sponsor NBC4 Southern California, the Walk reached a new attendance high with 12,000 people taking part in the event.
Celebrities at the SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk included actress, model and longtime SKECHERS supporter Brooke Burke-Charvet; legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard; model and entrepreneur Camila Alves; actor Ian Ziering; mother/daughter fitness icons Denise and Katie Austin; and Hall of Fame baseball manager Tommy Lasorda, a Walk Board of Director who has appeared every year.

Nickelodeon USA To Premiere "Rusty Rivets" On Tuesday 8th November 2016
Screener TV Listings is reporting the exciting news that, following a short delay, Nickelodeon USA will start to premiere and show the networks brand-new animated preschool series, Rusty Rivets, weekdays at 1:00pm ET/PT from Tuesday 8th November 2016!
There's always a big adventure in Nickelodeon's brand-new animated preschool series, Rusty Rivets! Created and produced by Spin Master Entertainment (PAW Patrol), the show follows Rusty, a 21st century kid hero who always saves the day by relying on his imagination and incredible resourcefulness. Inspired by the DIY culture of the maker movement, Rusty Rivets (26 half-hour episodes) helps preschoolers gain confidence and fuel their creativity with a strong focus on inventing, creating and problem solving.
In Rusty Rivets, 10-year-old Rusty, along with his best bud Ruby, invents his way out of every jam by repurposing spare parts and found objects into the wildest, coolest, most awesome contraptions ever. The series encourages kids to use their imaginations to design and create fun new gadgets and inventions.
In the series premiere, "Rusty's Rex Rescue"/"Rusty's Park N' Fly," Rusty's friend Liam gets trapped on top of a tall stack of junk in Rusty's Recycling Yard. Nickelodeon Australia And New Zealand To Premiere "Albert", Nickelodeon's First Animated TV Movie, On Friday 9th December 2016
Nickelodeon Australia has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will premiere Albert, Nickelodeon's first original animated TV movie, on Friday 9th December 2016 at 6.30pm!
Following Nick AU & NZ debuting Albert, Nick Jr. Australia and New Zealand will encore Nickelodeon's brand-new holiday movie on Saturday 17th December 2016 at 5.30pm.
Albert is the hilarious, sweet and exciting story of a little Douglas fir tree named Albert who loves Christmas more than anyone, and dreams of being THE big Christmas tree in Empire City. With his favourite holiday approaching, he becomes the star at Earth Mama's nursery by getting all the other indoor plants into the spirit. But when a TV newscast announces the search for the most famous Christmas tree, Albert knows he is meant to be that tree. Joined by his two best friends, a fun-loving palm tree and a rambunctious weed, Albert treks across the country to live his dream of becoming the world's most famous Christmas tree!
Albert is directed by Max Lang (The Gruffalo), and is executive produced by Chris Viscardi and Will McRobb (The Adventures of Pete & Pete). Nickelodeon first announced the film at Nickelodeon Upfront 2016.

Nickelodeon To Premiere "Ride" In Germany, Switzerland, Austria And Poland On Monday 5th December 2016
Nickelodeon Northern Europe has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich), Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz), Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) and Nickelodeon Poland (Polska) will start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand-new live-action series Ride from Monday 5th December 2016!
Nickelodeon Northern Europe will premiere each brand-new episode of Ride weekdays at 18:55 on Nickelodeon Schweiz and Nickelodeon Österreich, daily at 20:05 Uhr on Nickelodeon Deutschland, and every weekday at 20:30 on Nickelodeon Polska.
Although unconfirmed, it is expected that Nick North will also debut Ride on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland), Nickelodeon Belgium (België; Flanders), Nickelodeon Denmark (Danmark), Nickelodeon Sweden (Sverige) and Nickelodeon Norway around the same time.

Ride follows Katherine "Kit" Bridges, a North American girl who moves to England when her widowed father, Rudy, accepts a job at the illustrious Covington Academy: an elite equestrian focused boarding school. What may seem like a dream come true on the surface becomes far more complicated when Kit realizes more than just her nationality and fear of riding separate her from her peers at Covington. An instant connection to TK, the most stubborn and difficult Horse at the academy, opens a door to a whole new world of adventures for Kit with friends, frenemies, crushes, hidden secrets and the chance to uncover her true identity. With TK, Kit will be able to handle any challenge she faces!
In the premiere episode, Kit’s adventures begin when she arrives at Covington Academy excited for her first day at the school. However, things take a turn for the worse when Kit realizes she’ll be expected to conquer her biggest fear – riding a horse. Meanwhile, Elaine will do whatever it takes to win in the first competition of the year and both Will and Nav want to ask Kit to the Gala, but who will Kit go with?
