Following Nickelodeon star Nick Cannon recently announcing that a All That reunion could be happening soon, Kenan Thompson has revealed that he would definitely be down to bring the cast back together! Kenan even revealed major scoop on your Nickelodeon favorites, Kenan & Kel and Good Burger!
90’s nostalgia is at an all time high right now, because the dreams of an All That reunion just got a little bit closer to coming true! When HollywoodLife.com caught up with Kenan Thompson, 38, in New York City on Wednesday 30th November 2016, they asked him if he’d ever do an All That reunion. And, drum roll please? — “Of course I would do it!”, Kenan told them!
They informed the SNL veteran that they were recently hanging out with his old All That cast member, Nick Cannon, 36, at the 2016 Nickelodeon HALO Awards, and that Nick had said that fans would definitely be seeing a reunion. “Good for him,” Kenan replied, adding that he didn’t know Nick had revealed such epic news. However, he made fans smile, once again, when he said, “But, I am down.” As HL tried to come back down from cloud 9, Kenan brought the rest of everyone's favorite All That stars into the reunion mix when he dished, that Nick totally knew the rest of the cast would be down, so of course that’s why he would say it. This is amazing.
If you thought that was some good scoop, it gets better. Of course, HL had to take a trip down memory lane with Kenan. They asked the comedian if he’d ever do a Kenan & Kel or Good Burger reunion? And, they received good and not-so-good news…
As for a Good Burger reunion? — Kenan said that he and Kel Mitchell, 38, just did one on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, which was epic by the way. Kenan agreed, and gushed that it was “pretty great.” So, Kenan may be Good Burger-ed out, for now.
BUT, it was the total opposite when it came to a Kenan & Kel reunion! “Yeah, I would love to get back with Kenan & Kel,” he told us. “We’re all very close and we were very lucky growing up that we we were all friends with the people we worked with, and really close,” the actor reminisced, adding, so, to spend a lot of time apart, you know being able to do a reunion, that’s always a nice thing.” AH!
Kenan was at the Cristian Rivera Foundation Gala for pediatric cancer, in NYC when HollywoodLife caught up with him. He told them that the non-profit foundation is very close to him. In fact, Kenan is a committee member. The actor is believes “working to save children’s lives is a very important and inspiring thing.”
All That was one of Nickelodeon’s top 90's shows. The live-action comedy sketch show was famously dubbed the network’s Saturday night Live for their younger audience. It was a Saturday night staple that made comedy goers burst with laugher for about a decade. Different comedy sketches entertained viewers and a slew of hilarious stars like Kenan, Kel, Nick and many more won the hearts of people everywhere. In fact, the hit show also kickstarted the careers of Amanda Bynes, 30, and Jamie Lynn Spears, 25. All That ran from 1994 all the way to Oct., 2005.
There was a glimmer of hope that it could return permanently when Nickelodeon brought it back for reunions in April 2016 on The Splat, and for Nickelodeon's recent The Double Dare Reunion Special. Nonetheless, how amazing would a full-on reunion be?! Fingers crossed we’ll be laughing at the All That cast through the small screen very soon!
