The Slime Cup is Nickelodeon's slime-filled games and sports competition! The global interactive multiplatform brand campaign will be anchored by two one-week long TV events where four teams made up of the biggest Nickelodeon stars will battle it out for slime supremacy by competing by first joining one of 4 teams in The Slime Cup Totally Awesome Team Choosing Challenge, and then competing in The Slime Cup Games - a series of all-new slimy head-to-head sports challenges - for the messiest prize in sports... the Slime Cup!
This year, kids in more than 150 countries will be able to support their favorite Nickelodeon stars during the Slime Cup competition!
Beginning July 18, four teams of Nickelodeon live-action stars from the hit Nick shows Henry Danger, The Thundermans, Game Shakers, Bella and the Bulldogs and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn will compete in head-to-head, on-air challenges. The Slime Cup Games will play out in two competition-filled, week-long specials, which will air across international Nickelodeon channels. The first, "The Slime Cup Totally Awesome Team Choosing Challenge" will introduce this year's players and will kick off the campaign with a series of competitions which will ultimately place all 16 Nick stars on their respective teams. Furthermore, each day, the special will be accompanied by two Bella and the Bulldogs episodes, one of which will be a new episode premiere.
The second week-long special, "The Slime Cup Games," will feature the four teams compete in the slimiest and gooiest of challenges with the goal of accumulating the most Slime points to win the Slime Cup trophy. The challenges will also be accompanied by competition-themed episodes of Nick's top live-action programs.
The multi-platform sports and games competition will be hosted by Nickelodeon veteran Kel Mitchell and will feature ambassadors SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star.
But the Slime Cup isn't just a spectator sport; fans can get involved in all the slimy action online and experience the fun for themselves by supporting a team and getting rewarded in the process!
Once they sign up for the Nickelodeon Slime Cup Competition 2016, kids can pick a team and earn valuable Slime Points for their team in the quest for the cup and for themselves (And maybe even win a Slime Cup Trophy and medal of their own) by playing the awesome, interactive Slime Cup Game digital game on slimecup.com. Slime points may also be exchanged for cool rewards in the Nickelodeon Slime Cup SlimeStand. When the slime settles, the team that earns the most Slime points wins the 2016 Slime Cup! Additionally, the entrant with the highest balance of individual Slime points at the end of the competition period in each competition region, as determined by Nickelodeon, will be deemed a competition winner!
Additionally, in certain regions, Slime point redemption codes may be provided as part of the Slime Cup TV specials (check your local listings.) These codes may be entered into the SlimeStand, an emarketplace within the Slime Cup Games, for even more Slime points! In the UK and Ireland, Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2016 will start on Monday 18th July 2016.
Kids will also be able to participate in local events in select cities, such as the Nickelodeon Slime Cup in Singapore, which will include a series of slimy games and meet and greets with Nickelodeon stars, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Marshall and Chase from PAW Patrol, and Megan Lee, Louriza Tronco and Dale Whibley from Nickelodeon's comedic, music-infused series Make It Pop.
Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2016, the ultimate mix of sports and slime, will run between Tuesday 5th July and Thursday 4th August 2016.
Registration for Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2016 is now open at slimecup.com, and fans can start playing and earn slime points for their teams and for themselves from the 5 July!
