What could be better than even more side-splittingly funny cartoons, online and free whenever you fancy a chuckle?
Covering topics as varied as video games, zombie siblings and port-a-loo-loving Meerkats, developed shorts from the 2014 edition of Nickelodeon's world renowned Global Animated Shorts Programme are currently rolling out on nicktoons.co.uk and Nick Play App. Four of the funniest shorts will be available to view at any one time and, on the Nicktoons site, viewers will be able to show their appreciation for the creative work by selecting the "vote" button.
The current shorts available to view are:
Duckmanboy, created by Louis Hudson & Ian Ravenscroft:
Dwyane and Neil rescue the zoo animals from Sir Richard Battenburger. Duckmanboy features the voices of Rasmus Hardiker as Dwayne, Mike Wozniak as Neil and John-Henry Falle as Sir Richard Battenburger, and was produced by Dice Productions. Following its initial debut, the short quickly became a Vimeo Staff Pick!
The Tall Tales of Urchin, by Hamish Steele:
Inspired by Dickensian tales of street orphans living in Victorian London, Urchin is a young, orphaned girl who lives on the streets of Old Town - a higgledy piggledy mash up of various eras. Along with her fellow orphans Raggamuffin and Mudlark, she tries her best to find the fun in life while being led along her friend's get rich quick schemes. In the short, Urchin's Pigeon, Beautiful, enters a Dog competition. The Tall Tales of Urchin features the voices of Hamish Steele as The Announcer, Holly Taylor as Urchin, Zawe Ashton as Ragamuffin, Andrew Gower as Mudlark, and Will Kenning as The Twins. The short was produced by Blink Industries.
Feebs and Mr. Timmins, created and directed by Suren Perera:
Feebs and Mr. Timmins have to dance battle time traveling space racoons! Feebs and Mr. Timmins features the voice talents of Maria Bamford as Feebs and Jeff Bennett as Mr Timmins and Raccoon Leader. Short produced by Renmotion.
Woodchips, created and directed by Christian Villacañas:
Jim Woody competes for the Rookie of the Year Contest with the help of Justin the Beaver. Woodchips features the voices of Zach Callison as Jim, Eric Bauza (Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Fairly OddParents, Breadwinners, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera) as Justin, Max Mittelman as Treepy and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Blaze and the Monster Machines, The Penguins of Madagascar, Monsters vs. Aliens, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Back at the Barnyard) as MC. Short produced by Ink Apache.
