Nickelodeon Promotes Two Consumer Products Executives

Nickelodeon has promoted industry veterans Jennifer Caveza and Jon Roman, who will assume leadership for the company's consumer products division's toys and business development group.

Caveza has been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Toys and Business Development and Roman to Senior Vice President of Boys' Toys and Business Development.

In their new roles, Caveza and Roman are charged with establishing new business avenues, managing Nickelodeon's relationships with existing partners, maximizing licensee opportunities and maintaining Nickelodeon's position as an award-winning toy licensor in the girls, boys, preschool and electronics categories.

"Jennifer and Jon are industry veterans who have significantly raised our game since they came on board, both in terms of identifying new growth avenues for our tremendous portfolio of product and for maintaining key relationships with existing partners," says Pamela Kaufman, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and president of Consumer Products, Nickelodeon, to whom both Caveza and Roman will report. "As the appetite for Nickelodeon's content in the toy industry continues to grow, we're thrilled to have Jennifer and Jon leading the charge as we expand our footprint in key categories including consumer electronics, arts and crafts, sporting goods, ride-ons and more."

Jennifer Caveza

Caveza, formerly Vice President (VP) of Toys and Games, has managed the global master toy license for Mattel, which includes a robust multi-year multi-property preschool portfolio with Fisher Price and several construction lines with Mega. She also oversees all master toy partnerships for Nick's iconic "SpongeBob SquarePants" property and manages many aspects of the business for the hit preschool series "PAW Patrol". Based in Burbank, California, Caveza is also responsible for the growth of arts and crafts, ELAs, plush, ride-ons, vehicles and games. Prior to Nickelodeon, Caveza held several senior management roles at Mattel, Fisher Price and Jakks Pacific. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Global Hard Lines at Mattel where her role was to drive international growth through strategic initiatives.

Jon Roman

Roman, formerly Vice President of Boys Toys and Business Development, has managed the global master toy license for Playmates Toys for the series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," which continues to lead market share of the boys' toy business. Roman currently oversees the product development relationship with Mega for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" construction toys and is also responsible for the growth of the sporting goods and consumer electronics categories. Prior to Nickelodeon, he served as Vice President of Divisional Merchandise Manager, core toy division at Toys 'R' Us where he was responsible for the U.S. "core toy" merchandising division. Roman has also held senior level positions at Playmobil and Meccano.

The new promotions come on the heels of Nickelodeon Consumer Products strengthening its retail development team with three new appointments, including upping Jose L. Castro from VP to SVP of retail development.
