NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nickelodeon today announced world-renowned artist KAWS is reimagining SpongeBob SquarePants for the SpongeBob 400 Sprint Cup race on May 9, at the Kansas Speedway. Through this collaboration, KAWS will bring his dynamic, and avant-garde, interpretation of the most absorbing personality on all TV to NASCAR fans across the country. Elements will feature the artist's KAWSBOB character and include a custom 3-ft. trophy and a 70-ft. x 900-ft. mural spanning the track's backstretch.


"I have a great appreciation for the aesthetic of SpongeBob. The character's positive outlook and the shows vibrant colors have inspired me to create several pieces over the years," said KAWS. "The SpongeBob 400 Sprint Cup presented a unique opportunity to bring KAWSBOB to life in a big way. On May 9, the world's most famous sponge and his friends will take over the Kansas Speedway and will appear on paint schemes for five NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers: David Ragan in the No. 55 Aarons/SpongeBob SquarePants Toyota Camry; Greg Biffle, cruising down the track in the No. 16 Cheez-It/ Patrick Star Ford Fusion; Casey Mears helming the No. 13 Squidward Tentacles Chevrolet SS; Ty Dillon in the No. 33 Circle Sport Racing/Plankton Chevrolet SS and Michael McDowell, driving the No. 95 WRL/Larry the Lobster Ford Fusion. Additionally, Ben Kennedy will also join in on the fun when he takes out his No. 11 Local Motors/SpongeBob SquarePants Toyota Tundra for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway on Friday, May 8.

The Nickelodeon Kids Zone will also be set up for kids and families in the Kansas Speedway Fan Zone and will feature appearances from the SpongeBob SquarePants costume characters, a SpongeBob SquarePants photo station and more.

SINGAPORE, 6 MAY 2015 – Save the date and get your kids to start stretching those muscles because Downtown East is the place for a day of slimy play – come June! Nickelodeon today announced the return of Singapore's slimiest integrated sports festival – the Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015. Presented by Singtel TV and sponsored by Pilot Pen, with venue partner, Downtown East, the free-play event continues to promote active living through fun for kids and their families, and this year's edition is augmented with a host of SEA Games (Southeast Asian Games)-inspired activities with Nickelodeon's trademark green slime at Downtown East from Saturday, 6 June to Sunday, 7 June at 11am to 7pm.

Since the inaugural event in 2013, the Nickelodeon Slime Cup in Singapore has seen more than 15,000 kids and their families take part in activities utilising over 16,000 litres of slime. In its third edition this year, kids will now have the opportunity to participate in sports activities featured in the upcoming 28th SEA Games, represented by their favourite Nickelodeon show characters, such as "Soccer Showdown" with SpongeBob SquarePants, "Chip-py Triathlon" with Nickelodeon's newest characters from ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks and "Dora's Tee Party" from Dora and Friends: Into the City!, and "Oggy's Shootout" with Oggy from Oggy and the Cockroaches.


An Opening Ceremony for the Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015 will be held on Saturday, 6 June at 12pm to kick off this year's slime-tastic games. The ceremony will see Nickelodeon favourites such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer, Diego, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appearing one after another on one stage, followed by a fun dance and sing-along session. Families will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the characters at scheduled meet-and-greet sessions.

The fun family weekend Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015 event features:

Nickelodeon USA To Premiere New "100 Things To Do Before High School" TV Series On Saturday 6th June 2015

Nickelodeon star Isabela Moner has announced the fantastic news on her official Twitter and Instagram profile pages that, following Nick USA debuting the networks award-winning "100 Things To Do Before High School" TV movie special in November 2014, Nickelodeon USA will fully launch their brand-new series, which will introduce Nickelodeon's latest crop of super-star talent, on Saturday 6th June 2015!

"100 Things To Do Before High School" is a brand-new live-action creator-driven comedy-focused series from "Big Time Rush" creator and executive producer Scott Fellows. The half-hour, single-camera series follows three best friends as they navigate the highs and lows of middle school, with the help of a bucket list of adventures that help them overcome class cliques, terrifying bullies and clueless teachers.
