Nickelodeon Germany To Premiere "Mr Stink" Movie On Saturday 6th December 2014

Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) has announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news in the following press release, from Nick Germany's "Nick Pressecenter", that Nickelodeon Germany will premiere and show the popular Christmas movie "Mr Stink", locally titled "Gestatten, Mr. Stink", on Saturday 6th December 2014 at 6pm, as part of the channels Christmas programming highlights! Following the films debut, Nick Germany will encore the movie at 1:50pm on Sunday 7th December 2014.


Based on the popular children's book "Mr Stink", written by actor and comedian David Walliams ("Little Britain"), the film, produced by the BBC, is about friendless 12-year-old Chloe (Nell Tiger Free), who, after discovering Mr Stink (Hugh Bonneville, "Dowton Abbey") and his dog Duchess (Pudsey the Dog, "Britain's Got Talent") in a nearby park, invites him to stay in her family's garden shed. Initially horrified by the sight and smell of their new 'guest', Chloe's dysfunctional mum (Sheridan Smith, "Jonathan Creek", "Cilla") and dad (Johnny Vegas, "Benidorm") finally relent. After Chloe discovers Mr. Stink's real identity, news of his arrival does the rounds and his celebrity spreads, Mr Stink finds himself embarking on a journey that takes him to 10 Downing Street, before finally bringing Chloe's family together again in time for Christmas. "Mr. Stink" is a lovely, funny and bizarre story directed by David Walliams that shows appearances can often be deceiving and people shouldn't judge each other on their appearances. David Walliams also makes a appearance in the movie as the British Prime Minister.


It is currently unknown whether other localised Nickelodeon channels across Northern Europe will also broadcast "Mr Stink".

Berlin, 13. November 2014 – Am 06. Dezember 2014 um 18:00 Uhr zeigt der Kindersender Nickelodeon den Weihnachtsfilm 'Gestatten, Mr. Stink'. Der Film basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Kinderbuch, geschrieben von Schauspieler und Comedian David Walliams, unter anderem bekannt aus Comedy Centrals 'Little Britain'.

Der Obdachlose Mr. Stink ist der stinkigste alte Stinker, den es je gegeben hat. Er stinkt so ekelhaft, dass alle vor ihm flüchten. Nur die 12-jährige Chloe scheint mehr in Mr. Stink zu sehen und freundet sich mit ihm an. Ehe sie sich versieht, nistet er sich im Gartenhaus ihrer Familie ein. Eine witzig-skurrile Geschichte beginnt, in der Chloe dem Geheimnis um Mr. Stinks wahrer Identität immer weiter auf die Spur kommt.

Die liebevoll und witzig inszenierte Geschichte von David Walliams zeigt, dass der Schein oft trügt und Menschen mehr sein können als ihr Äußeres erahnen lässt.

Die Rolle des Mr. Stink wird übernommen von 'Downton Abbey'-Star Hugh Bonneville und auch David Walliams selbst lässt es sich nicht nehmen in der Buchverfilmung mitzuwirken. Er verkörpert die Rolle des Ministerpräsidenten.

Premiere des Weihnachtsfilms 'Gestatten, Mr. Stink' am 06. Dezember um 18:00 Uhr bei Nickelodeon (Wiederholung am Sonntag um 13:50 Uhr).

This year's HALO honorees—Lulu Cerone, Yash Gupta, Cassandra Lin, Nicolas Lowinger and Alanna Wall—are being commended for their work to raise awareness across numerous issues relevant to kids today, including environmental sustainability, volunteerism, helping the underprivileged, and building awareness for youth philanthropy. Kids and teens can visit DoSomething.org/HALO and click on the profile of each HALO honoree to sign up and participate in activities that include creating activity books for kids in hospitals, encouraging friends and family to decrease oil waste, donating gently worn eyeglasses and backpacks, and teaching internet safety tips to friends and family. Additionally, users can upload images showcasing how they participated in these activities and earn an opportunity to be nominated for Nickelodeon's year-round pro-social initiative, HALO Effect.

The HALO Effect initiative recognizes one deserving teen every month for "helping and leading others" (HALO) in their community. Over the past year HALO Effect has awarded more than $50,000 to 10 kids across the country to help fund their charitable organization of choice. HALO Effect awards a $5,000 grant to a charity of each teen's choosing. Teens selected are also featured in an on-air profile on TeenNick and highlighted on TeenNick.com throughout each month. This year's HALO Awards will showcase the work of the 2014 HALO Effect winners during the hour-long concert special.

Viacom And Frontier Communications Renew Carriage Agreement; Viacom Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend

Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB, VIA) and Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:FTR) have announced in a press release the long-term renewal of their carriage agreement, which includes multiplatform rights for 27 Viacom networks, including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TeenNick, Nicktoons, Nick at Nite, as well as for premium network EPIX. EPIX delivers big hit movies, original comedy specials, original documentaries, music concerts and series. EPIX also offers 3,000 titles available for streaming at EPIX.com and on the EPIX App. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.


Additionally, Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB and VIA) has also announced in a second press release that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.33 per share on both its Class A and Class B common stock. The dividend will be payable on Friday 2nd January 2015 to stockholders of record at the close of business on Monday 15th December 2014.
