Nickelodeon Australia has announced and revealed more aweslime details and news about the BIGGEST kid-powered, star filled family slimefest of the year, Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST 2014, which this year is going to be bigger, better and SLIMIER than ever before and feature the most slime of all time!
This year, Nickelodeon is going to double the music, the stars and the tonnes, and tonnes AND TONNES of Nickelodeon's world famous slime, because this year, Nickelodeon Australia will be bringing SLIMEFEST to Melbourne and Sydney to hold TWO SLIMEFEST concerts, Australia's first music festival just for kids, tweens and teenagers! The Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST 2014 ticket pre-sale is now on! Simply visit Ticketmaster Australia and enter codeword: NICK to buy your tickets today!
To make sure that their third annual SLIMEFEST event is the biggest, bestest and and slimiest SLIMEFEST ever to give attendees the slime of their life, Nick AU will take over the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre in Sydney (SYD), New South Wales (NSW) on Friday 26th September 2014, then will be taking all the slimy action on the road to Melbourne (MEL) to hold a SLIMEFEST concert at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Parkville, Victoria (VIC)! Each concert will feature two SLIMEFEST shows, a morning show at 11:00am and a evening show at 6:00pm.
The format of the show and the advertised performers are the same for both the morning and the evening performances of SLIMEFEST. However, there may be some unannounced special guests who are only able to attend either the morning or evening performance. But whichever show you go to, you are guaranteed it will still be the slime of your life!
This year, the SLIMEFEST experience will be maxed to the limit! Not only will slime fans see an awesome show, but there will be an outdoor carnival experience for NickHeads to enjoy before and after the show. This will be located inside the entry area, before the entrance to the venue. The outdoor carnival will feature games, rides, food, drinks and SlimeFest merchandise available to purchase and participate in, along with some great interactive activities to see and do. Entry to the SLIMEFEST interactive area is free and is open to the general public. Costs for rides, merchandise, food and drinks will apply.
Nickelodeon Australia's production crew will have cameras and will be shooting during both the 11.00am and 6.00pm shows and the best bits will go to air on Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand for viewers at home on Monday 29th September 2014. Remember to tune in to see all your favourite parts of the show!
Nickelodeon is offering 3 types of tickets for NickHeads to purchase to attend SLIMEFEST 2014:
Premium Mosh Area: This is a KIDS-ONLY SLIME ZONE (children aged between the ages of 8-15 only). Grown-ups will not be allowed access into this area and for safety reasons kids MUST be over 140cm high to be granted entrance into the Mosh. According to Nickelodeon's slime-inator forecaster, SLIMEFEST attendees in the Premium Mosh Area can expect a high expectancy of slime.
Standing Floor: This area is available for kids and grown-ups and is recommended for kids aged between 8 -15 years of age and a minimum height of 140cm. For grown-ups, if you have purchased a ticket to the Standing Floor area there will be an area allocated for you at the back to stand in. This is a slime zone, however not everyone will be slimed especially towards the outer edges. Grown-ups - if you are in the seated area in the back there is low expectancy of a slime covering. Adults are requested to stand near the back of the venue to give younger NickHeads the best access.
Seated Area: These tickets are suitable for all kids (no matter what your height!) and grown-ups. Patrons who hold seated tickets will queue and enter the venue separately to those holding standing tickets. This area is a slime-free zone (slime and safety regulations). Please do be aware though that regardless of seating allocation all attendees may receive incidental
brushes with slime as Nickelodeon will be releasing thousands of litres of the green goo and cannot guarantee where it may land!
It gets pretty messy in the Mosh and Standing Area so it's a good idea to bring a change of clothes and a spare towel for the trip home. If you are thinking about wearing your best white shirt or fave clothes, then think again! It's best to wear your not-so-fave clothes just in case you get super slimey!
This year for the first time ever NickHeads can have a once in a lifetime experience with their favourite celebrity by purchasing a meet and greet ticket at www.ticketmaster.com.au. Included with their meet and greet, NickHeads will be able to go backstage and get up close and personal with their favourite big time celebrities. They will sign your favourite piece of merchandise and jump in a photo with you. Don't forget to bring your camera!
NickHeads can also pre-purchase official Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST 2014 merchandise, including a special edition Slimefest t-shirt, souvenir lanyard and silicone wristband, from the events listing on Ticketmaster AU! Merchandise Packs will be posted out directly to your home within 30 days of being purchased, so you can be dressed in the coolest SLIMEFEST gear before you arrive on the day! NickHeads can also purchase exclusive SLIMEFEST 2014 products on the day of each event!
Nickelodeon Australia will be announcing more big SLIMEFEST 2014, including who will be performing at this years SLIMEFEST events, in the coming weeks.

Jeans for Genes has announced the Sponge-tastic news in the following press release that they have chosen Nickelodeon superstar SpongeBob SquarePants as the character ambassador for this year's Jeans for Genes appeal!
Swapping his iconic brown trousers in favour of a pair of denim ones, SpongeBob SquarePants, along with his friends Patrick Star, Gary the Snail and Sandy Cheeks will undergo a denim makeover to encourage people to sign up and help raise funds in support of this year's campaign.
To celebrate Jeans for Genes' partnership with Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, and help to raise money for the vital care and support for children with genetic disorders, exclusive trolley token keyrings featuring the iconic and ever optimistic SpongeBob SquarePants sporting his new denim look have been created and can be bought from the charity's website at www.jeansforgenes.org/shop. The partnership will be supported across the Nickelodeon network, including activity at Nickelodeon Land, part of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
"SpongeBob SquarePants" is a world-renowned and beloved character-driven cartoon that chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurably optimistic and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends. The series is seen in more than 170 countries and territories and in more than 35+ languages, making it the most widely distributed property in Viacom Media Networks history. The show has contributed the highest amount of viewing of any show on UK kids' channels to date and is the Number one animated show on the Nickelodeon network. SpongeBob has a whopping 44 million Facebook fans globally and an ample 1.5 million Twitter followers.
Jeans for Genes Day which takes place on Friday 19th September 2014, has so far raised more than £40 million for Genetic Disorders UK to help transform the lives of children and families affected by genetic disorders. Monies raised will help fund the vital support care and support that children affected by genetic disorders so urgently need. The annual fundraising appeal encourages supporters to make a small donation to wear their jeans to school or work. Sign up for your free fundraising pack today at www.jeansforgenesday.org!
"SpongeBob SquarePants" is executive produced by creator Stephen Hillenburg, who previously worked as a writer, director and creative director on Nickelodeon's animated series "Rocko's Modern Life". Paul Tibbitt served as a director and writer on "SpongeBob SquarePants" for its first three seasons and is currently executive producer. "SpongeBob SquarePants" airs every day on Nicktoons. SpongeBob SquarePants is set to star in his second theatrical movie, "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", which will released in cinemas across the UK in 2015.
