Nickelodeon UK Unveils Jordan and Perri's Kids' Choice Awards 2014 Blog
To celebrate the Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland's official website, nick.co.uk, has unveiled Jordan and Perri's brand-new Kids' Choice Awards 2014 blog!
In the lead-up to Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2014, Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, the UK hosts of the 2014 KCAs, will be posting daily posts and videos featuring Nick UK's dynamic dance duo stylin' and proflin' in the US of A while gearing up for the greatest and slimiest show on earth, the 2014 Kids Choice Awards!
Below is a list of Jordan and Perri's Kids' Choice Awards 2014 blog entries:
Day One: As Los Angeles is a big town, the boys are going to need a ride so cool that to gaze upon it would freeze your eye balls open in slack-jawed amazement. It's time to meet the KCA Mobile! Plus, there's also a aweslime introduction to the UK-specific categories and nominees which are part of Nick UK's version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2014!
Day Two: It’s going to be a long day filming with Jordan and Perri! That hot LA sun and their new nemesis, Daniel the builder, seems to be affecting the performance of Nick's two seasoned showbiz vets - first Jordan messes up his lines, then filming is halted because "Daniel" the builder won't stop drilling. J & P and Nickelodeon UK's soundman and cameraman aren't happy! Will they overcome the odds and finish filming their links or will the nefarious Daniel continue to drive everyone crazy with his drill? Watch the clip to find out! It's gonna be a looong day!

CHILD REFUGEES SHARE STORIES OF RESILIENCE AND HOPE IN NICK NEWS WITH LINDA ELLERBEE "FLEEING SYRIA: CHILDREN OF WAR"
PREMIERING TUESDAY, MARCH 11, AT 8:00 P.M. (ET/PT) ON NICKELODEON
NEW YORK – March 4, 2014 – Nick News with Linda Ellerbee hears from child refugees in the brand-new special, “Fleeing Syria: Children of War,” premiering Tuesday, March 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. The half-hour special features kids who are among the millions that have fled Syria because of ongoing conflict to find safety at Jordan’s Camp Zaatari.
"I saw bombings. Things are terrifying in Syria," says 15-year-old Doha.
"Our house was destroyed," says 14-year-old Fares. "It was hit by a shell and it collapsed and we ran for our lives."
"We can hear the sound of the guns, of the cannons, of the artillery," says Camp Zaatari manager Killian Kleinschmidt. "It's shaking here at night, because they're fighting just a few kilometers away. So the conflict, the war is alive."
The children reveal it's hard to try to make the camp a home as they miss their lives in Syria.
13-year-old Mohammed passes the time fixing shoes at his family's shop. "We want to support ourselves," he says. "It's better than doing nothing."
15-year-old Wala is happy she can still go to school. "During these eight months we have managed to adapt," she says. "We try to have fun and forget about it."
"We at Nick News remain awed by the resilience of children who often suffer the worst in the human tide of the world's refugees," says Linda Ellerbee. "And they still find ways to get by, ways to find dignity, ways to grow, and ways to hang onto hope for a better tomorrow."
