Nickelodeon Northern Europe Promotes Janine Weigold To Vice President Of Acquisitions And Development
Viacom International Media Networks Northern Europe has announced in the following press release, from VIMN North's official Pressecenter, the Nickelodeon International news that Nickelodeon Northern Europe has promoted Janine Weigold to the role of Vice President (VP), Acquisitions & Development, Nick North.
In her new role, Janine Weigold will be responsible for the entire content supply for Nickelodeon Northern Europe across all networks target groups and sub-brands: NickToons, TeenNick and Nick Jr. This includes the purchase of international programs and the development and production of local formats for audiences in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Scandinavia. Weigold reports to Milagros Alemán, Senior Vice President (SVP), General Manager (GM), Nickelodeon Northern Europe.
Weigold, who joined Nickelodeon in 2005 as acquisitions manager, previously held the position of VP of programming for Nickelodeon Northern Europe, following her promotion in 2013.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, the children's and families devision of Viacom International Media Networks (until the end of 2011 MTV Networks Germany), Janine Weigold worked in the editorial department of RTL II as well as for various production companies, where she was responsible for the production of children's formats and Primetime Shows. Janine studied political and social behavioral sciences at the University of Hagen, and video journalism at the 'Bavarian Academy of Television' in Munich.
In 2013, Janine Weigold and her Nickelodeon Productions team produced five localised versions of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2013 in five different languages for eight countries in Northern Europe. Janine was also responsible for the launch of Nickelodeon Deutschland's studio-based daily afternoon programming block "Nickelodeon Alaaarm" in 2013. "Alaaarm", presented by Laura Garde and Sascha Quade, leads Nick's German audience through the afternoon and features studio guests and hilarious segments. In her new role, Janine Weigold will be responsible for the entire content supply for Nickelodeon Northern Europe across all networks target groups and sub-brands: NickToons, TeenNick and Nick Jr. This includes the purchase of international programs and the development and production of local formats for audiences in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Scandinavia. Weigold reports to Milagros Alemán, Senior Vice President (SVP), General Manager (GM), Nickelodeon Northern Europe.
Weigold, who joined Nickelodeon in 2005 as acquisitions manager, previously held the position of VP of programming for Nickelodeon Northern Europe, following her promotion in 2013.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, the children's and families devision of Viacom International Media Networks (until the end of 2011 MTV Networks Germany), Janine Weigold worked in the editorial department of RTL II as well as for various production companies, where she was responsible for the production of children's formats and Primetime Shows. Janine studied political and social behavioral sciences at the University of Hagen, and video journalism at the 'Bavarian Academy of Television' in Munich.
In 2013, Janine Weigold and her Nickelodeon Productions team produced five localised versions of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2013 in five different languages for eight countries in Northern Europe. Janine was also responsible for the launch of Nickelodeon Deutschland's studio-based daily afternoon programming block "Nickelodeon Alaaarm" in 2013. "Alaaarm", presented by Laura Garde and Sascha Quade, leads Nick's German audience through the afternoon and features studio guests and hilarious segments. "Nickelodeon Alaaarm" also gives the German version of the world's number one children's channel a local identity.
