Jeans for Genes has announced the Sponge-tastic news in the following press release that they have chosen Nickelodeon superstar SpongeBob SquarePants as the character ambassador for this year's Jeans for Genes appeal!
Swapping his iconic brown trousers in favour of a pair of denim ones, SpongeBob SquarePants, along with his friends Patrick Star, Gary the Snail and Sandy Cheeks will undergo a denim makeover to encourage people to sign up and help raise funds in support of this year's campaign.
To celebrate Jeans for Genes' partnership with Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, and help to raise money for the vital care and support for children with genetic disorders, exclusive trolley token keyrings featuring the iconic and ever optimistic SpongeBob SquarePants sporting his new denim look have been created and can be bought from the charity's website at www.jeansforgenes.org/shop. The partnership will be supported across the Nickelodeon network, including activity at Nickelodeon Land, part of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

SpongeBob SquarePants is set to star in his second theatrical movie, "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", which will released in cinemas across the UK in 2015.
