Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following press release, from TVByTheNumbers.com, the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA closed the week (Monday 5th to Sunday 11th May 2014) as basic cable's number-one network in total day with Kids 2-11 (2.4/757K) and total viewers (1.4M), marking the 18th consecutive weekly win for the net!
Nickelodeon USA's ratings win was fueled by "SpongeBob SquarePants", which was the week's top series, across all TV, with Kids 2-11 (4.5/1.4M, +10%) and the top animated series with Kids 6-11 (4.1/800K).
Nickelodeon also swept with Kids 2-5, taking the top three spots for the week with this demo. "PAW Patrol" led the net's hit preschool roster, averaging a 7.2/895K (+80%); "Team Umizoomi" ranked second, scoring a 6.1/756K (+30%); "Bubble Guppies" placed third with a 6.0/740K (+28%).
Nick at Nite closed the week as the number-one basic cable network in total day with Women 18-49 (0.5/285K). In primetime the net also scored gains with Adults 18-49 for the week, averaging a 0.3/335K (+8% in delivery) and drawing 1.1M (+10%) total viewers.
Nickelodeon's niche nets also continue to post increases with their core demos. TeenNick posted double and triple-digit year over year (YOY) gains, up +94% with total viewers, and up +150% with Teens 12-17 for the week. Nick Jr. USA posted gains with its K2-5 audience, up +10% in delivery.
