There are currently five episodes left from the 20-episode second season of "See Dad Run", with the 13-episode Season 3 expected to air later this year — culminating with an hour-long series finale, which has been ordered in addition to the 13 regular episodes.
"See Dad Run" is executive produced by and stars Scott Baio who plays David Hobbs, an actor who, after a decade on television, becomes a stay-at-home father while his soap star wife (Alanna Ubach, "Legally Blonde") makes her return to the limelight. Rounding out the cast are Ryan Newman ("Zeke and Luther") and Bailey Michelle Brown as David’s daughters, Emily and Janie, and Jackson Brundage ("One Tree Hill", "You Gotta See This") as David's son, Joe. The series, shot on the former "Happy Days" stage in Los Angeles, is created/executive produced by Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux, with executive producers Nat Bernstein and Mitchel Katlin serving as showrunners. Nick At Nite’s ‘See Dad Run’ To End Run After Three Seasons
EXCLUSIVE: It is the end of the road for Nick at Nite's first original scripted comedy series See Dad Run, starring Scott Baio. I have learned that Season 3 of the family sitcom, which is currently filming, will be its last, with production on the series wrapping in May for good. There are five episodes left from See Dad Run's 20-episode second season, with the 13-episode Season 3 expected to air later this year — culminating with an hourlong series finale, which has been ordered in addition to the 13 regular episodes. See Dad Run's cancellation after 3 seasons and the exit of Nick at Nite’s second original sitcom, Wendell & Vinnie, after one leaves Instant Mom as the network's only remaining original comedy series.
Created by Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux, See Dad Run centers on actor David Hobbs (Baio) who, after a decade on television, becomes a stay-at-home dad so his soap-opera-star wife (Alanna Ubach) can get back in the spotlight. But he quickly realizes that playing a dad on television is very different from the real thing. Albanese and Labyorteaux executive produce with Nat Bernstein and Mitchel Katlin.
