To celebrate Nickelodeon's Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013, the awards show which recognises and celebrates talented young people with serious skills from across the UK, which Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids' television channel in the UK, held today (Saturday 7th September 2013) at London's prestigious O2 Indigo Arena (aka the indigO2), Nickelodeon UK have announced and revealed in the following press release all the the winners and exciting news and gossip from the front row of Nickelodeon's Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013!

Nickelodeon's Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013 saw some of the biggest names in sport, music and television come together to celebrate and honour the outstanding skills of kids across the UK. Nickelodeon's Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013 saw more than 29 children awarded for their achievements by the likes of Pixie Lott, Louis Smith, Laura Whitmore, Conor Maynard and Alexandra Burke, with girl power coming out top with girls winning four of the seven Skills Award categories!

Hosted by British diver, London 2012 Summer Olympic Games medalist and Kids' Choice Awards winner Tom Daley, who received the ultimate Nickelodeon Accolade by being doused with Nickelodeon's trademark green slime, the awards honoured kids with seriously impressive skills such as skateboarding, BMXing and street-dancing. The Olympic diver opened the show alongside the Fruit Shoot Skills Crew, a troop of record breakers and skilled performers, with an impressive display of their talents.

Performances were given by Union J who rocked the crowd with their hit "Carry You" as well as a unique cover of Carly-Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" A*M*E performed her hit 'Heartless' and The Vamps made their Nickelodeon performance debut with 'Can We Dance'. "Britain's Got Talent" finalists Luminites and "House of Anubis" star Brad Kavanagh also took to the stage. The climax of the second-half of the show was a pre-recorded, breath-taking performance by dance troupe Diversity on the O2 rooftop.

All of the fun, slime and performances will be repeated with encore showings at 2pm on Monday 9th September, 9.30am on Tuesday 10th September and throughout the week. Viewers can check nick.co.uk for full details of the schedule.

London, 7th September, 2013 – Today saw some of the biggest names in sport, music and television come together to celebrate the outstanding skills of kids across the UK. Nickelodeon’s Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013 saw more than 29 children awarded for their achievements by the likes of Pixie Lott, Louis Smith, Laura Whitmore, Conor Maynard and Alexandra Burke. The awards will be broadcast at 5pm on Sunday 8th September, only on Nickelodeon.

Hosted by the highly-skilled Tom Daley, the awards took place at the IndigO2 in London and honoured kids with seriously impressive skills such as skateboarding, BMXing and street-dancing. The Olympic diver opened the show alongside the Fruit Shoot Skills Crew, a troop of record breakers and skilled performers, with an impressive display of their talents.

"Tonight's awards show has really showcased all of talent that exists in the UK and I'm proud to support such a great event," said host Tom Daley. "I'm honoured to have been slimed by Nickelodeon and can’t wait to re-live it all again when it airs on Sunday night."

Nominees for the awards were selected by a panel of top experts who travelled across the country to find the UK's most skilled kids. The awards ceremony follows on from Nickelodeon’s Fruit Shoot Skills Tour, a nationwide shopping centre experience which invited kids to show off their impressive skills. Kids who attended one of the tour events were given the opportunity to enter the Breakthrough Award by submitting a video of them showing their best active skill via the tour or at nick.co.uk/fruitshootskills
