The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon News in the following article that Nickelodeon Consumer Products executive Lisa Silverman Meyers has been promoted to the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) of operations and business planning for Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) for Viacom International.

Silverman Meyers will now oversee all of NVCP's systems and processes management and take a leading role in strategic business planning, operations and analysis. She most recently served as SVP of online retail development and DTR at Nickelodeon.

Silverman Meyers' promotion comes as the company continues to grow its global consumer products presence. She will work in partnership with NVCP’s regional heads, brand management, retail, promotions, recreation and finance, as well as external partners, to optimize and leverage marketplace opportunities and to better serve clients.

The licensing business news website Licensing.biz is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon UK News that Floppets, the pocket money character toys that can attach to kids' bags, fingers, shoe laces, pencils and more to "They Go 'WEAR' You Go!" by Zydeco Studios, have signed Nickelodeon as their first UK licensing partner!

The two-year agreement with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products will see Floppets produce collectable accessories featuring characters from the popular Nickelodeon properties and shows "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Dora the Explorer" and "SpongeBob SquarePants".

The licensed Floppets are due to launch this year (2013) during the back to school season, targeting children aged four and above.

The brand new Nickelodeon original TV movie "The Touchstone of Ra" catches up with the students of Anubis house on the eve of their graduation as they encounter a new group of underclassmen and a mysterious stone that leads them on a quest to save the world from evil.

In the "Touchstone of Ra", the residents of Anubis House are nearing the end of their final term when their celebratory mood is cut short after a group of underclassman unexpectedly move into Anubis house, and a trip to an Egyptian museum leaves the group with a strange stone in hand. The Sibunas are confronted with their greatest challenge yet as they set out to decipher the secrets behind the touchstone of the ancient Egyptian god, Ra.
