eOne Family secures broadcast deals across Europe and Australia
Popular children's properties sign for second seasons across Spain, Italy and Australia.
Entertainment One Family has brokered a number of broadcast deals for its popular children's properties across Europe and Australia.
Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom continues to attract growing audiences in Spain and Italy.
eOne has just secured deals with CLAN and RAI that will see the second season air in both territories later in the year.
The second series of Ben and Holly has also been picked up by RTE channel in Ireland, which has also renewed its contract with further eOne properties including pre-school series Humf and Lost and Found.
The company has also reached agreements with Australia's leading broadcaster ABC Australia.
The new deal will see the channel air the second series of children's programme Rob the Robot, a CG animated pre-school show that follows the adventures of Rob as he explores the planets of the Robot Galaxy.

The licensing industry news website Licensing.biz is reporting the preschool animation news in the following article that the international entertainment business Entertainment One Family has sold the broadcast rights to Nick Jr. UK and Ireland's popular Astley Baker Davies-produced animated preschool series "Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom" to television channels across Spain, Italy and Australia. eOne has just secured deals with the Spanish TV channel CLAN and the Italian TV channel RAI that will see "Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom" season 2 air in both territories later in 2013. Silvergate Media Announces French TV Deals For Nickelodeon USA's Brand New CGI-Animated Preschool Series "Peter Rabbit"
The licensing industry news website Licensing.biz is reporting the "Peter Rabbit" news that Silvergate Media has struck a deal with the French public national television broadcaster France Télévisions for the TV, home entertainment, licensing and merchandising rights to Nickelodeon USA, Penguin and Silvergate Media's major co-production of the much anticipated brand new CGI-animated preschool series "Peter Rabbit", which is a fresh re-imagining of the popular Beatrix Potter children's books based on Peter Rabbit and his steadfast friends (along with a couple of toothsome enemies!), which has already garnered huge audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Silvergate has also appointed Paris-based France Télévisions Distribution as international sales representative for "Peter Rabbit" and Cbeebies' popular pre-school show "Octonauts" (pictured, below), both produced by Brown Bag Films in Ireland. Peter Rabbit and Octonauts French TV deals confirmed
Silvergate Media appoints France Televisions Distribution as TV sales partner.
Silvergate Media has struck a deal with France Télévisions for the TV, home entertainment, licensing and merchandising rights to the new Peter Rabbit TV series.
The show (pictured, left) has already debuted on Nickelodeon US and will shortly air on CBeebies in the UK.
Silvergate has also appointed Paris-based France Télévisions Distribution as international sales representative for Peter Rabbit and hit pre-school show Octonauts (pictured, right), both produced by Brown Bag Films in Ireland.
The commercial division of the French public TV group will manage sales of the TV rights to both shows for a number of territories across Europe, Asia and Africa.
Prior to the deal, Silvergate was handling all international TV sales for the properties. It retains responsibility for TV sales in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan and Latin America. Nickelodeon is responsible for TV sales in the Americas and India for Peter Rabbit only.

The brand new Peter Rabbit series consists of 50 11-minute and three half-hour specials.
Based on the books by award-winning design team Meomi, Octonauts combines elements of classic team action-adventure with CGI animation to transport preschoolers into a world they can’t ordinarily visit: the ocean.
Silvergate Media holds worldwide licensing and merchandising rights for the Classic Peter Rabbit and Octonauts brands. It holds all audiovisual, licensing and merchandising rights for the new CGI Peter Rabbit worldwide, excluding the Americas and India which are controlled by Nickelodeon US.
Penguin will be supporting the animation in 2013 with a full publishing programme, with other licensed merchandise to follow.
