Stage Entertainment Touring Productions proudly presents the first arena tour of DreamWorks Madagascar Live!, visiting Exeter from 21-24 February 2013.
Everyone’s favourite Madagascar characters will star in a live theatrical show based on the blockbuster DreamWorks Animation franchise, reliving the fun and humour of the animals and their escapades, brilliantly recreated in an arena production of lively storytelling, dance and music, including the hit song ‘Move It, Move It’.
Audiences of all ages will love the wild and action-packed adventure as Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the plotting penguins escape from their home at New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar.
This celebration of friendship is brought vividly to life by imaginative sets and costumes, joyous dance numbers and spectacular new songs bringing West End values to the arena environment. A cast of 25 characters take the audience on a journey from Central Park Zoo all the way to the beaches of Madagascar in a song-filled show for the whole family.

MADAGASCAR LIVE is directed by Gip Hoppe, director of Dora the Explorer Live who has worked with Broadway Across America and Nickelodeon on other family friendly live touring productions including: Blue’s Clues Live, Dora’s Pirate Adventure and Go, Diego, Go Live! Hoppe also wrote and directed the Broadway play Jackie: An American Life and is a founding member and co-artistic director of the Wellfleet Harbor Actor’s Theatre.
The show is written by Kevin Del Aguila, who received a Drama Desk Award nomination as book writer of the Off-Broadway hit Alter Boyz and has also written the musical adaptations of the children’s books Lilly’s Big Day and Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type.
Tony Award-winner David Gallo, whose Broadway credits include Memphis, Xanadu, The Drowsy Chaperone, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, and whose touring show credits include Dora The Explorer Live and Blue’s Clues Live, serves as the show’s Scenic Designer.
The show will feature costume design by Tony Award-winning Gregg Barnes, whose Broadway credits include Legally Blonde, Flower Drum Song, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and whose touring show credits include Disney On Ice – Princess Classics, Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, Winnie The Pooh and Madison Square Garden’s The Wizard of Oz.

Nickelodeon fans have spoken and the KCA 2013 nominations are in! Nickelodeon has announced in the following Nickelodeon Press Release, from PRNewswire, the nominees for the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards, also known as the Nickelodeon's 26th Annual Kids' Choice Awards!
Beginning Thursday, February 14th 2013, kids will be able to cast their votes in 22 categories, including the newly introduced nominations for Favorite App and Favorite Villain, across all of Nickelodeon's digital outlets: Nick.com, all desktop and mobile devices, and Nickelodeon's Facebook page and Twitter feed. On Facebook, users will be able to vote from a tab on the page and the entire voting experience can be embedded directly into wall posts, and on Twitter users be able to vote using custom KCA hashtags!
Among the nominations, the popular Nickelodeon original comedy series "iCarly" and "Victorious" will be battling it out to win the coveted orange blimp for Favorite TV Show. It's a fight to the cinematic finish as Kids' Choice Awards former host and winner Will Smith , Johnny Depp¸ Zachary Gordon and newcomer Andrew Garfield nabbed nominations for Favorite Movie Actor: Smith for Men in Black 3, Depp for Dark Shadows, Gordon for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days and Garfield for The Amazing Spider-Man. Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart and Scarlett Johansson kicked butt with dual nominations for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Female Buttkicker, while The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hunger Games and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days are all up for Favorite Movie.
In television, Miranda Cosgrove , Bridgit Mendler , Selena Gomez and Victoria Justice round out the Favorite TV Actress nominees, with iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place and 2012 KCA winner Victorious also competing for Favorite TV Show. Taylor Swift scored three nominations: one for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (The Lorax), Favorite Song ("We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together") and Favorite Female Singer.
