Nickelodeon has ordered seven additional episodes of "The Thundermans", which brings the total number of episodes in season one of "The Thundermans" up to 20 episodes, following the initial 13-episode pickup in February 2013. The cast and crew were informed of the fantastic news on Friday (20th September 2013) afternoon.
In addition, Nick USA will preview the series on-air by showing a special sneak peek of "The Thundermans" on Monday 14th October 2013 (Columbus Day public holiday) ahead of the series official debut on Nickelodeon USA during Fall (Autumn) 2013.
"The Thundermans" joins three other new Nick comedy series whose freshman seasons were recently increased, Nickelodeon's "Sam & Cat" and "The Haunted Hathaways" and Nick at Nite/NickMom’s "Instant Mom".
Nickelodeon USA's official website, nick.com, has also soft-launched the shows official website, nick.com/thundermans, which currently features a 'About' page featuring show information, a very special 'Kickin' It With The Cast' photo flipbook/gallery featuring exclusive pictures which reveal some the fun the cast get up to behind-the-scenes of their brand new sitcom and a "The Thundermans" message board (forum) for fans to talk about Nick's brand new comedy show "The Thundermans". "The Thundermans" is about a typical suburban family who happen to have astounding superpowers. At the center of the action are the 14-year-old Thunderman twins, Max Thunderman (Jack Griffo) and Phoebe Thunderman (Kira Kosarin), who share the same bathroom, the same school and the same annoying younger siblings. Their only difference? Phoebe is a super student with a super sunny disposition who super looks forward to being a superhero someday, and Max aspires to become a super villain. "The Thundermans" also stars Chris Tallman as Tom Thunderman, Rosa Blasi as Lisa Thunderman, Addison Riecke as Nora Thunderman, and Diego Velazquez as Oliver Thunderman. The series commenced production during Spring 2013 and is written by longtime Nickelodeon producer Jed Spingarn, who most recently served as co-executive producer of the hit series "Big Time Rush" and prior to that, produced on "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" and "Johnny Bravo". Nickelodeon has expanded the episode order for its new live-action series The Thundermans ahead of its premiere, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The cable network has ordered seven additional episodes, which brings the total order to 20, following the initial 13-episode pickup in February, as THR first reported. The cast and crew were informed of the news Friday afternoon.

In addition, Nick is sneak-peeking an episode of the series Oct. 14 ahead of its official debut later in the fall.
The Thundermans, created by Jed Spingarn, revolves around a family of suburban-dwelling superheroes.
The show centers on Phoebe and Max Thunderman (Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin), 14-year-old fraternal twins. Like any twins, these two share a healthy sibling rivalry -- turbocharged by their superpowers. Phoebe is the good-natured one who tries to do the right thing, while Max is a troublemaker who dreams of one day becoming a super villain. With their younger siblings and parents, the pair must attempt keep their powers under wraps and lead a normal life.
Rosa Blasi, Chris Tallman, Diego Velazquez and Addison Riecke also star in the series.

The Thundermans' premiere follows on the heels of other recent live-action series bows on Nickelodeon, including Sam & Cat in June and The Haunted Hathaways the following month.
Both shows initially received 20-episode orders; in July, as THR first reported, Nick ordered 20 more episodes of Sam & Cat, an iCarly and Victorious crossover spinoff.
