The awards honour kids from across the UK with seriously impressive skills such as street dancing, skateboarding, BMXing and a host of active skills in-between. Nickelodeon's Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013 will be even bigger and better with kids being honoured in seven cool Skills Awards categories. The individual awards will be presented by some of the biggest names in sport, film and television, alongside live music performances. Tickets cost just £1 (an Admin fee (for printing & postage)) and will let you be there person to see the Skills, the Stars and the Slime! The Age Recommendation to attend the 2013 Skillies Awards are 6 - 15 years, and all children attending must be accompanied by at least one adult. Nominees for the awards have been selected by a panel of experts who have been mega busy over the past three months travelling across the country to find the UK's most skilled children in a range of activities, from Breakdancing and Skateboarding to BMXing and Soccer Freestyling, and Nick has now created 6 cool Skills Award categories featuring 4 nominees in each: Best Baller, Best Biker, Best Boarder, Best Skater, Best Dancer and Best Rider!
Union J are a British four-piece boy band consisting of members George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley. The group were formed through the ninth series of British television music competition "The X Factor" in 2012, in which they finished in fourth position. They subsequently signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment's subsidiary label, RCA Records and are due to release their debut studio album in October 2013.
"Britain's Got Talent" finalists The Luminites are a band which finished fifth place with 6.8% of the vote in the seventh (2013) series of the popular talent contest show. The band consists of members JJ, Corey, R-Tizt and Steph. They were described as Britain's answer to the Black Eyed Peas by BGT judge Simon Cowell. During the show, they also revealed that they had been bullied at school because people deemed their musical aspirations as uncool, but mentioned that they intend to be role models.

The boy band are set to headline
It has been revealed that Union J are all set to headline Nickelodeon’s Fruit Shoot Skills Awards 2013 which celebrates children with impressive talents all across Britain.
JJ, Josh, George and Jaymi will be performing at the awards ceremony in September, surrounded by some of the most skilled kids in the UK.
The band that came fourth in last years X Factor will join the awards host Tom Daley as they celebrate young talent.
Union J are more than excited to have this opportunity: “With Nickelodeon’s Fruit Shoot Skills Awards this year taking place on our doorstep, how could we not get involved”, exclaimed George.
Adding: “We can’t wait to perform on the day- let’s just hope the talented award winners don’t put our skills to the test!”
Honouring a range of talents from, street dancing, skateboarding and BMXing, among others the awards will be hosted live from London’s IndigO2 on Saturday 7th September.
As well as an Olympian and a boy band, Brad Kavanagh, from House of Anubis will also be there along with Britain’s Got Talent, hit act The Luminites.
The top talents have been selected from a panel of experts who travelled all over on their hunt for the stars with amazing skills, and the best of the best will be presented awards from some of the biggest names in sport, film and TV, alongside live music.
