Sneak Peek At One Of The 'Making Off' Extras On Nickelodeon's Upcoming "The Legend of Korra Book One: Air" DVD & Blu-Ray

To celebrate Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution releasing the first chapter of Nickelodeon's popular original animated series (Nicktoon) "Legend of Korra", "The Legend of Korra Book One: Air", on DVD and on high definition (HD) Blu-Ray disc (BD) in North America (region 1) on Tuesday 9th July 2013, the Speakeasy arts & entertainment blog on the official website of the business and economic newspaper The Wall Street Journal has unveiled a special brand new and exclusive online streaming video clip featuring an extract from one of the 'Making Off...' special features featured on Nickelodeon's "The Legend of Korra Book One: Air" Blu-ray/DVD, which you can watch below! The release of LoK on BD will mark the first TV series Nickelodeon has ever released on Blu-ray:

Inside the Making of ‘The Legend of Korra’ (Video)

Nickelodeon’s hit animated fantasy series “The Legend of Korra” won’t return to the air with new episodes until later this year, but until then fans can revisit past episodes on home video. The coming release “The Legend of Korra: Book One: Air” (due out July 9) has special features on the making of the series, including an inside look at how key sequences of the show went from sketches to the small screen.

If you’re not familiar with “The Legend of Korra”—and you should be–it’s a spinoff of the cartoon hit “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” The series is set in a magical world of “benders” who have the power to control the elements of fire, air, earth and water–but only the avatar, Korra, has the power to control all four. In the premiere season, the authority of the benders was increasingly challenged by emerging steampunkish technology.
