US: Franklin and Friends front kids' vitamin range
Nelvana Enterprises teams up with Webber Naturals for character-shaped supplements.
Franklin and Friends, Max & Ruby and the Backyardigans are fronting a new line of children's vitamins in the US and Canada.
Brand owner Nelvana Enterprises has partnered with Webber Naturals for the range, which feature character-shaped supplements for kids.
The brands' TV programmes currently air on Corus Entertainment's 24-hour pre-school channel Treehouse.
“We are excited to be partnering with Webber Naturals on the new Treehouse vitamin line,” said Colin Bohm, Managing Director at Nelvana Enterprises.
“This is a natural and complementary brand extension of the Treehouse label which will be expanding into even more product ranges in the marketplace.”
The range of vitamins includes seven products, including Chewable Multivitamins, Chewable Vitamin C and Chewable and Liquid Vitamin D.
The vitamins come in natural flavours like Tropical Fruit and Wildberry, and contain no artificial colours or wheat.
“The products have received overwhelming enthusiasm from Canadian retailers and the line has been successfully placed in almost every outlet across the country,” said Don Bird, Executive VP of Sales at Webber Naturals.
“The product purity and quality, the colourful packaging and the popular characters make these children's supplements uniquely appealing. It is easier for mums to keep kids healthy with their cartoon friends as allies."
Treehouse is the number one pre-school channel in Canada and is seen in more than 8.5 million Canadian homes.
Treehouse is part of Corus Entertainment’s family of kids' brands including YTV, Nickelodeon (Canada), Nelvana Studio and Kids Can Press.
