The new episodes of "George of the Jungle" will be produced by Singapore based kids' media company August Media Holdings alongside Canadian production company Chocolate Moose Media and will be distributed by DreamWorks Classics and August Rights:
George of the Jungle swings again
Teletoon in Canada has revived George of the Jungle, the animation series that first debuted in 1967, with broadcasters in Germany and Spain also on board the latest version.
George of the Jungle will return to Teletoon in Canada, as well as Nickelodeon in Germany and Northern Europe and TVE in Spain in 2014.
George of the Jungle
First produced by Jay Ward in 1967, the most recent season of George of the Jungle, about a clumsy yet loveable character and his animal friends, aired in more than 50 countries during its last outing in 2007 including on Cartoon Network in the US.
The new episodes will be produced by Singapore based kids’ media company August Media Holdings alongside Canadian prodco Chocolate Moose Media and will be distributed by DreamWorks Classics and August Rights.
Founder and CEO of August Media Holdings Jyotirmoy Saha said: “Since 1967 more than three generations have loved George of the Jungle on TV. We are thrilled to bring the series back to the small screen and excited to be part of George’s future adventures.”
