Nickelodeon USA To Premiere New "Peter Rabbit" Primetime Special And New Preschool Series "Lalaloopsy" On Friday 29th March 2013

Nickelodeon has announced in the following Press Release, from animation news website Toon Zone, that to celebrate the start of Spring, Nickelodeon USA will premiere a brand-new "Peter Rabbit" primetime special and start to premiere and show the brand new CGI-animated preschool series "Lalaloopsy" on Friday 29th March 2013.

Nick USA will debut the brand new "Peter Rabbit" television special, called "The Tale of the Start of Spring" at 7.00pm (ET/PT), followed by the series launch of "Lalaloopsy", featuring the episode "Batter Up!", at 7.30pm (ET/PT). After the premiere of "The Tale of the Start of Spring", "Peter Rabbit" will continue to air regularly weekdays at 12p.m. (ET/PT), and after the debut episode of "Lalaloopsy", the series will air regularly weekdays at 1.30pm (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon USA.

Meanwhile, at NickJr.com, Nickelodeon's award-winning website, kids and parents can watch a sneak peek of the Peter Rabbit special and print out Peter Rabbit spring-themed activities including a coloring page and crafts. Beginning in April, preschoolers will be able to play the new online game “Peter Rabbit's Downhill Dash.” Parents and kids can visit the new Lalaloopsy show page to meet the Lalaloopsy characters and watch exclusive webisodes. Plus, they can print out Lalaloopsy activities including a coloring pack, mazes, and puppets.

In the all-new Peter Rabbit special, "The Tale of the Start of Spring," Jemima's new egg goes missing and only Peter Rabbit is able to put together the clues in order to find the culprit. But can he find the egg before it hatches, or has he finally met his match in the devious newcomer, Samuel Whiskers?

"Lalaloopsy" is an animated series based on the award-winning, best-selling Lalaloopsy line that celebrates diversity, friendship and teamwork. The series stars the Lalaloopsy rag dolls — Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Mittens Fluff 'n Stuff, Bea Spells-a-Lot, Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises, Jewel Sparkles, Peanut Big Top, Spot Splatter Splash, and Dot Starlight – who magically came to life when their last stitch was sewn. Each character has their own personality based on the fabrics that were used to make them and a special pet. In the series premiere, "Batter Up!," Berry Jars 'n' Jam tries to break the Lalaloopsy Land record for tallest stack of pancakes built in one day. She initially tries to do it by herself but, soon overwhelmed by the enormity of the task, turns to her Lalaloopsy friends who are happy to help.
