Created by Craig Bartlett, who also created the popular Classic Nickelodeon original animated series (Nicktoon) "Hey Arnold!", the series features a young Tyrannosaurus Rex named Buddy who, together with his adoptive Pteranodon family, takes the Dinosaur Train on a variety of adventures through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans to discover basic concepts in natural science, natural history and palaeontology. The show currently airs every day at 3pm on Nick Jr. UK & Eire. The Jim Henson Company appointed Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to represent the merchandising business for the property within the UK and Ireland in September 2012.
Jumbo Games' initial "Dinosaur Train" toy range, due for launch in July 2013, will include four puzzles in one box (4-in-1), focusing upon the main characters from the show and featuring different shapes and piece counts presented in a handy compact suitcase box with a plastic handle for easy transportation; an assortment of four 35-piece puzzles featuring different images; and a pack of 36 brightly-coloured, super-sized playing cards featuring all the characters from the series. Suitable for two to four players, participants will be able to play four different traditional games:

Jumbo Games has announced a new partnership with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to produce a range of puzzles and games centred around The Jim Henson Company’s Dinosaur Train series.
