Ninja Turtles break free
Free-to-air (FTA) broadcasters in Latin America, Australia and Europe have picked up Nickelodeon’s recent revamp of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Telenica in Nicaragua and Teledoce in Uruguay will air the first season of the toon, along with Australia’s Network Ten, MBC3 in the Middle East, ABS-CBN in the Philippines, Okto in Singapore, LNK in Lithuania and POP TV’s Kanal A in Slovenia.
Nickelodeon has picked up the series for a second season, while Paramount Pictures has plans for a movie to premiere in May 2014.
Meanwhile, Chile’s FTA broadcaster Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso has closed a two-year branded block animation package with Viacom.
This includes preschool shows Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies and Dora The Explorer, while El Salvador’s Canal 12 has closed a three year branded block deal including SpongeBob SquarePants.

Viacom International Media Networks Secures Free-To-Air Sales For Nickelodeon's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" TV Series Plus For Nickelodeon Branded Programming Blocks In Chile And El Salvador
The entertainment news website C21Media is reporting the Nickelodeon News that free-to-air television broadcasters in Latin America, Australia and Europe have picked up the FTA broadcast rights to Nickelodeon's brand new CGI-animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series from Viacom International Media Networks. C21Media is also reporting the Nick News that Chile's FTA broadcaster Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso has closed a two-year Nickelodeon branded programming block animation package with VIMN, which includes the Nickelodeon Preschool (Nick Jr.) shows "Team Umizoomi", "Bubble Guppies" and "Dora The Explorer", while El Salvador's Canal 12 has closed a three year branded block deal which includes popular Nickelodeon shows such as "SpongeBob SquarePants":
