UKTV's Patterson joins Nick UK
Nickelodeon UK has appointed UKTV head of editorial operations, planning and services Tim Patterson as its vice-president of scheduling.

The hire follows the departure of Nickelodeon’s UK programming director Debbie Macdonald, who left the broadcaster after 18 years in December.
Patterson, who joins on 18 June, will take charge of scheduling and planning shows such as House Of Anubis and Camp Orange for the broadcaster's seven TV channels, including Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr, as well as on-demand services.
He will report into managing director Tina McCann, who, along with vice-president of commercial Kiaran Saunders, will take charge of the broadcaster’s programming duties following Macdonald’s exit.
Patterson has 25 years experience in TV, having joined UKTV in 2002 following roles at Fox Kids UK, Sky 1 and Walt Disney. He said he was looking forward to serving the kids' channels' "savvy and demanding audience".
"Nickelodeon is an unmistakable brand with an enviable suite of distribution channels and premium content," he added.
McCann said: "Tim's business insight and editorial vision is set to take our brands to the next level."

Nickelodeon UK has named broadcasting veteran Tim Patterson as its new VP of scheduling.
Patterson, who will begin his new role June 18 reporting to MD Tina McCann, will be responsible for scheduling content and planning media across Nickelodeon’s linear and non-linear network, including seven television channels and Nickelodeon’s on-demand and multi-platform offering.
