'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' comics app launches
IDW Publishing teams up with Nickelodeon to bring the series to Apple devices.
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book app has been released for iOS devices.
IDW Publishing teamed up with Nickelodeon to launch the application, which is powered by comiXology's technology.

The app includes the complete Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic collection, including the ongoing series, "micro-series", one-shots, and original black and white classics.
"From day one, TMNT's comic book re-launch has been met with outstanding support and excitement from fans of all ages and we at IDW couldn't be happier," said series writer Tom Waltz.

As you might have noticed, we’re well into comics here at the Gadget Helpline and would take any opportunity to share our obsession with our blog readers. So we were delighted to hear that one of our favourite franchises Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch as a dedicated spin-off to the popular ComiXology app – it’s exciting enough to make you shout out “COWABUNGA!”
Nickelodeon, which will soon be screening a reimagined version of T.N.M.T as an animated series, and IDW, the publisher behind the recently re-launched comic book series have announced that through their partnership they have launched the new Ninja Turtles app which will allow readers to keep up with the “heroes in a half-shell” and their on-going adventures, as well as all the character one-shots and mini-stories, as well as offering a chance for new fans to explore the history of the comics with the a complete collection including the earliest black and white editions from Eastman and Laird back in the mid-1980s now presented in full-colour in modern digital format.
The T.N.M.T Comics app is available in the U.S-only for the time being, but the worldwide undefeatable appeal of the heroes four will likely see the app launched here in the U.K soon and through a press release the comics’ current publisher shares the sentiment of many a fan who grew up with the Turtles.
