Nickelodeon Job Summary

Reporting to the Communications Director, the main focus of the role is to devise and execute integrated PR campaigns that support the strategic objectives of the channels, aiming to generate high-impact, targeted news and features that significantly raise the profile of the network in a variety of UK media – consumer and trade.
The PR Manager will be responsible for managing PR agencies on designated projects and will oversee the PR intern on a day to day basis. This position will also work with the Communications Director to support corporate, trade and internal communications initiatives as required.
Working closely with the consumer products team to develop and execute the trade and consumer publicity for Nickelodeon’s consumer product portfolio, including executive profiles, gift guide placement and halo products publicity campaigns.
Nickelodeon Department
The marketing and communications department manages the public awareness and reputation of the Nickelodeon network through a wide variety of media and channels (such as newspapers, magazines, TV, websites, blogs and any other ways we can think of!). Our aim is to educate our audiences (both consumer and commercial) about Nickelodeon UK, our programmes and the great work we do both off and on air.
Our work is hugely varied; often we’re dealing directly with journalists to set up (or respond to) a news story generated through a show or event. We’re always planning new campaigns and initiatives to engage with our audiences via our target media. The types of activity can be anything from competitions to screening events and ‘orange carpet’ launches. We’re always on the hunt for new ideas!
The company has a unique ethos of 'putting kids first’ in everything that it does; and it's the PR and Marketing department's job to ensure that that this message is constant in all of the campaigns, merchandising and general information that Nickelodeon creates and puts out. After all, if we're going to connect with our viewers we've got to tell them what we're about in a language they understand.
