Work starts on Terry Farrell's TV-am remodel
Jacobs Webber design includes “spectrum of colour fins”
Work has started on the remodelling of Terry Farrell’s TV-am building in Camden, north London.
Designed by Jacobs Webber, the plans include a new facade with metal cladding and a “spectrum of colour fins”.
In addition a part of the site will be replaced with a new structure, providing an enhanced entrance, relocation of a studio and editing suits, a new atrium, increased skylights, glazing and additional office space.
When complete the owners of the building, Viacom International Media Networks, will use it to consolidate all of its brands, including MTV UK, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
The project is scheduled for completion in December 2012.
You can view some pictures of TV-am's former studio's exterior including images of a computer-generated visualisation and a computer-generated rendering of the remodelled TV-am exterior here on the Building Design website (free registration required).
