Nickelodeon today (Oct. 18) unveiled first looks at its upcoming brand new The Patrick Star Show Thanksgiving and Holiday specials during their SpongeBob SquarePants 25 panel at New York Comic Con 2024!

Although no premiere dates were announced for the new specials, it's more than likely they'll air during the holiday season, alongside the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants half-hour 25th anniversary special, “Snow Yellow,” slated to debut in November, and the SpongeBob SquarePants stop-motion 25th anniversary special, “SpongeBob & Sandy’s Country Christmas”, premiering in December.
Nickelodeon also announced during their NYCC panel that The Patrick Star Show has been renewed for seasons four (13 episodes) and five (13 episodes), which will continue to tell brand-new stories about one of the most beloved best friends in TV history--Patrick Star. The Patrick Star Show, the second SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff, stars Patrick and the rest of his family as they are constantly disrupted by his wild whims and surreal imagination. All-new season three episodes will continue to air across Nickelodeon.
In The Patrick Star Show, long-time voice of Patrick Star, Bill Fagerbakke lends his voice as the young adult Patrick alongside new cast members: Tom Wilson (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Cecil Star; Cree Summer (Rugrats) as Bunny Star; Jill Talley (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Squidina Star and Dana Snyder (The Thundermans) as GrandPat Star. Summer also voices Grandma Tentacles, Squidward’s Grandma.
Additional cast members include veteran SpongeBob SquarePants actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward Tentacles), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton).
Marc Ceccarelli (SpongeBob SquarePants), Vincent Waller (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jennie Monica (SpongeBob SquarePants) are co-executive producers of the series. The Patrick Star Show is developed for television by Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Animation Development, Nickelodeon, with production overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President (VP), Current Series, Animation, Nickelodeon.
Moderated by Matt Forte (Podcast Host & Writer), Nickelodeon's SpongeBob 25 NYCC panel highlights include:
- A clip reveal from the upcoming half-hour 25th anniversary special, SpongeBob SquarePants, “Snow Yellow,” slated to debut in November on Nickelodeon. In the special, when Snow Yellow is deemed the “squarest of them all,” the evil Queen Karen seeks to claim the title for herself by any means necessary.
- An exclusive first look at the stop-motion 25th anniversary special SpongeBob SquarePants, “SpongeBob & Sandy’s Country Christmas” premiering in December on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. In the half-hour special, when one of Sandy’s experiments goes awry, the Cheeks family team up to save Christmas in Bikini Bottom. The special features Craig Robinson as Pa Cheeks, Johnny Knoxville as Randy Cheeks, and Grey Delisle as Ma Cheeks, Granny Cheeks, Rosie and Rowdy reprising their roles as Sandy Cheek’s family from the recently released movie Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.
- Voice cast members Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) conducted live scene reads from two fan-favorite episodes, “Band Geeks” (season 2) and “Scaredy Pants” (season 1).
