Today we’re taking a look at all the titles which will be coming to Paramount+ UK & Ireland in October 2024. This month the streamer has several huge premieres alongside a whole host of movies perfect for Halloween.
Star Trek fans will no doubt already have their calendars marked for October 24. That’s the day the excellent animated comedy Star Trek: Lower Decks returns for its fifth and final season with two brand new episodes. October also features new episodes of some of our favourite shows including Frasier, Tulsa King and the return of Lioness for season 2.
This month also brings us the brand new homegrown drama series Curfew (pictured), which will premiere on the service on Thursday 10th October 2024. Filmed in London, the six-part thriller, an adaptation of Jayne Cowie’s Novel After Dark, is set in an alternative reality where all men live under ‘The Women’s Safety Act’, bound by a strict curfew every night with their movements tracked by an ankle tag 24 hours a day. When a woman’s body is discovered brutally murdered during curfew hours and left on the steps of the Women’s Safety Centre, veteran Police officer Pamela Green (Sarah Parish) believes that a man is responsible. But in a world where men are bound by the curfew system, her theory is rejected. The introduction of The Women’s Safety Act almost three years ago is widely considered as effective at protecting women, and nobody wants to hear different. If Pamela proves a man committed this murder, it could bring The Women’s Safety Act crashing down… people in high places are determined to make the curfew a success and will do all it takes to prevent Pamela from discovering the truth.
October brings with it one of our favourite holidays, Halloween, and Paramount is celebrating with a season of scary movies perfect for a night of hiding behind the sofa. Movies in the season include Somewhere Quiet, The Beast Within, Natty Knocks, Apartment 7A, Don’t Tell Mum the Babysitter is Dead, Scream, Pet Semetary: Bloodlines, Bloodline Killer, Terrifier, Significant Other, The Uninvited and the original Paranormal Activity.
Whilst we're talking about streaming, Pluto TV, the free streaming service from Paramount, recently added some beloved retro Nickelodeon UK shows, including Sister, Sister, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Moesha! Stream away at pluto.tv!
