The Complete Sokka Timeline (Avatar) | Channel Frederator
Sokka hailed from the Southern Water Tribe, where he grew up under the care of his grandmother Kanna alongside his younger sister Katara, following the passing of his mother and his father's departure for war as chief Hakoda led their men to combat the Fire Nation. Despite Sokka's eagerness to join the battle, he was left behind due to his young age, leaving him as the de facto leader of the tribe. His life took a turn when he and Katara stumbled upon Aang, an Air Nomad, encased in ice, soon discovering that he was the long-lost Avatar. Initially skeptical of Aang's abilities, Sokka gradually came to believe in the young Avatar's potential to bring peace to their world as they embarked on their journey together.
