Amassing $USD952 million at the global box-office and honoured with this year’s highest industry accolades dominating with seven Academy Awards® and seven British Academy Film & Television Award (BAFTA) wins, blockbuster Oppenheimer, starring Oscar®-winner Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer and Emily Blunt as his wife, biologist and botanist Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, will be available to stream exclusively on SkyShowtime from 21 March.
Written for the screen and directed by Oscar-winner Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer propels audiences into the mind of theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, whose landmark work as the director of the Manhattan Project’s Los Alamos Laboratory created the first atomic bomb. An unprecedented cinematic event, Oppenheimer features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Matt Damon, Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr., Oscar nominee Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, and Oscar winners Casey Affleck, Rami Malek and Kenneth Branagh.
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan.
