Monster High has partnered with Razzamataz Theatre Schools to create a programme that will encourage students to embrace their unique selves.
This autumn, students from the multi-award-winning Razzamataz franchise of theatre schools will be introduced to the world of Monster High and its characters Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Cleo De Nile, Lagoona Blue, Deuce Gorgon and Clawd Wolf in an exciting new programme in the performing arts. Celebrating the premiere of the second Monster High Movie, which will be broadcast on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Paramount+ from 13th October 2023, the programme will use all-new music from the Monster High Animated series.
Music and dance are a core Monster High theme seen in the movies and animated series. In partnership with Razzamataz Theatre Schools, a bespoke programme of music and dance activity will engage students, help them to embrace their own unique qualities and encourage them to embrace their authentic selves.
The programme will run throughout September and October in 52 locations across the UK, reaching thousands of students aged 6-10 in the Razzamataz Junior, Inters and Senior classes. The programme will feature dance numbers with a spooky twist, music from the Monster High Animated series and drama lessons that explore the themes of acceptance and the power of teamwork. This will provide an opportunity for diversity, equity and inclusion to be discussed and supported by teachers involved in the activity.
“Monster High celebrates the fact that everyone should be proud to be themselves and embrace their authentic self,” says Kelly Philp, Mattel UK’s Marketing director. “Razzamataz Theatre Schools has created a fun resource that will encourage children to have fun and bring the magic of Monster High to life through performing arts.”
“This partnership with Monster High aligns perfectly with Razzamataz’s ethos of nurturing young performers in a safe and inclusive environment,” adds Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and founder of Razzamataz Theatre Schools. “By creating this programme in our schools, we give our students the opportunity to explore their creativity and celebrate their individuality. Every week in our schools across the UK, we rejoice in the unique potential in all our students.”
